Wow. Some example of Mormon ‘love’ there resty!
How exactly was I incorrect? My interpretation is sound as is the verse I posted. So, please tell me. LDS temple rites are NOT biblical nor are they ‘sacred’. They are a rip off of Masonic rituals. How do you explain that?

I was waffling back and forth about answering her or not. I chose not to because her reply to my post didn’t address my questions.
The fact remains Resty, God doesn’t hide His word.
Truth faiths do not turn on those who may choose another path in hopes the may return to the Truth.
I am very interested in finding out why/how reagnaut was wrong.
For some reason resty when you respond to a post I just do not get what you are trying to put down. Your Biblical / lds post have nothing to do with what’s being discussed.
It appears you are trying to tell us something, but it makes no sense.
Would you please explain in your own words why you think reasnaut is wrong in their interpretation.

I’ve been awestruck by the anger(?) of some. I mean it’s not that I expected them to be overjoyed or anything, but there was little, if any attempt to convince me from a theological point of view that I was making a “mistake” in leaving mormonism.
It’s a large chasm between what they portend through missionary efforts, outreach, etc. and they’re subsequent shunning of those who let go of the iron rod. I don’t know how one truthfully reconciles the contrast in what they’re taught to do, taught to believe and then their actions towards a member who is leaving the fold.
I read a post on MRM’s Facebook page by a descendant of one of the mormon prophets who left the lds church. Quite a story.
But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; He will speak only what He hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. John 16:13

Oh that does relate to the temple or whatever the pattern is the in out of the temple you want to know than do your spiritual home work!
Many of the things the Lord speaks about are sacred and the Lord does warns in Matt 7 it is very clear many of you just choose to dismiss it fine do what you want!

6 ¶ Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
and what do you do anyways “turn the words” and “trample on sacred things!”
and to top it off claim it was not sacred because you say so and that is to justify your actions!

What you have posted has nothing to do with God hiding His Word.
I am truly sorry that you apparently are unable to grasp that fact.

I, too, was struck by the anger and shunning. Most of my friends just dropped me like the plague when I left and said the worst things about me. And I left quietly, I was not outspoken like I am now.
And SZ is right, there was no effort to persuade from a theological point, it was just condemnation and accusations about what ‘sin’ I committed, or how I must have decided I wanted to sin, or I never really was faithful.
It hurt, big time and they didn’t seem to care that I had genuine questions.
