"Believing that “the Devil” uses God’s perfect word to deceive, you must be in a prison of confusion. His word says that “Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

The reason I believe that the devil tempts us using God's word is because the bible tells me so.

In this time of Lent, it is appropriate to read Jesus' temptation in the desert. Matthew 4:1-11.

The devil tempts us with our carnal weaknesses, he tempts us with our pride and ego, and thirdly he tempts using the word of God. That's why I get the Heevy Jeebies, when people claim to know they are saved. But that's just me.

Lent is utterly pagan, and has nothing to do with Christ or his word. Try again.

And yes, I know that I am saved; all those that are saved know it, because it is part of believing and trusting the Lord.
