The Scenario:
Ever have one of those days when youre feeling full of energy and vigor? I mean, youre feeling just obnoxiously happy? Well, this is one of those days.
Driving home from work, you switch on the radio to see whats happening, and you tune in to a local Protestant radio station just in time to hear a preacher speaking against various Catholic doctrines concerning Mary. The show is called Pastor Bobs Bible Hour. Pastor Bob proclaims: Jesus knew Catholics would come along and begin to worship His mother and call her perpetual virgin and absurd things like that. But the Bible says: Is not this the carpenters son? Is not His mother called Mary? And are not His brethren James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? And are not all of His sisters with us? (Matt. 13:55-56a). And isnt it sad, my brothers and sisters?
Pastor Bob goes on to say: Jesus dealt with these Mary worshippers in His day. In Luke 11:27-28, the Bible says, A woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts that You sucked! But He said, Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!
On a normal day you would probably just listen, take a few mental notes and drive on. But not this time. Youre feeling a little bit too saucy. You take the first exit you see and head for a phone. This is just one more reason why you need to buy that cell phone youve been talking about getting.

So he was pope before he had the Holy Spirit and before the church was born?? He did not think so He believed he was an elder..not even a priest
I’ll start the discussion on the Cana miracle. There’s much that could be said but I’ll only note:
The New Wine is better than the old wine.
Christ represents the new wine of the covenant.
The Klan hated Catholics. Still does.
That’s the reference: anti-Catholic hatred.
Thank you for sharing your own personal interpretation of Scripture.
Very wise of you to agree mare.
Referring to her comment, you claimed Rome was playing the race card.
Let the open threads be open. There are devotional and caucus threads for those that don't want to confront heretical beliefs head on. Posters figure out who to take seriously and who to ignore pretty quickly.
To those who study the scriptures without the eisegesis of Roman

goddess worship, see the woman in Rev 12 as the wife of YHvH, Israel.
Annalex isn’t Roman.
I think your questions of RC's illustrate why they don't want to discuss this heresy and will do everything they can to move the discussion elsewhere.
There are numerous contradictions with Scripture if people want to look. I think the people who are hurt the most with this heresy are those that haven't gotten into the Word. They follow along with the cultural pressure to conform and assume that what they are doing is okay since everyone else is doing it and their church promotes it.
We've all seen it. It's not veneration it's worship and it is wrong.
As a former Catholic and self-proclaimed church teacher (what a mistake!), you ought to know about Immaculate Conception. Your question is an attempt to play a game. I decline.
I could say the same thing of you.
Alinsky's rules of Roman apologetics. Kill the message or the messenger ; never address the question.

Our reluctance couldn't have anything to do with the fact that this question, these demands, are made of Catholics on EVERY SINGLE OPEN THREAD when Catholics participate. It couldn't be because we're sick and tired of being targets for you to take pot-shots at, or that we've explained it so many times to the SAME PEOPLE that we're sick of you all.
Nope. Couldn't be that. Of course, you are performing for lurkers, as many of the anti-Catholics have admitted, ignoring the fact that lurkers, too, can go to the Catechism online and find out the answers for themselves. Catholics are not your trained monkeys, dancing to your Calvinist tune.
Continually asking the same question leads many of us to regard the Calvinists and all their hangers-on as insincere at best and duplicitous at worst.
Nevertheless, in case any of the reprobate minds on your side have a sliver of doubt, our care for souls leads us to answer, albeit with impatience.
Hebrews just reiterates what we already know from the Gospel.
I have read and studied Holy Scripture all my life, so your sarcastic comment is mis-placed.
Since you can’t seem to discuss anything without resorting to rude comments, this will be my last post to you. When you decide to be nice, I will reply again.
Mind-reading an entire church! Fantastic!
Thanks, Judith Anne
wmfights, I remember having these same discussions with you four or five years ago! You’re a slow learner, aren’t you?
Busted! ;-D
Stupid popish me: Like my new car?
Smarter-than-all Catholics them: Can't you buy American? What's your problem?
Stupid popish me: What are you saying? Of course I bought American. Real American even - not Government Motors or anything...
Smarter-than-all Catholics them: No, it's a foreign car.
Stupid popish me: Look - it says "Ford" right here...
Smarter-than-all Catholics them: I saw a website once that said "Taurus" is a foreign word. For a calf no less; so I understand why you got it in the golden-colored model, idolater.
Stupid popish me: oooo-kay. If I just agree you're better than me, can we end this conversation? I need a drink...
LOL! You’ve captured it in a nutshell!
