The Scenario:
Ever have one of those days when you’re feeling full of energy and vigor? I mean, you’re feeling just obnoxiously happy? Well, this is one of those days.
Driving home from work, you switch on the radio to see what’s happening, and you tune in to a local Protestant radio station just in time to hear a preacher speaking against various Catholic doctrines concerning Mary. The show is called Pastor Bob’s Bible Hour. Pastor Bob proclaims: “Jesus knew Catholics would come along and begin to worship His mother and call her perpetual virgin and absurd things like that. But the Bible says: ‘Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary? And are not His brethren James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? And are not all of His sisters with us?’ (Matt. 13:55-56a). And isn’t it sad, my brothers and sisters?”
Pastor Bob goes on to say: “Jesus dealt with these Mary worshippers in His day. In Luke 11:27-28, the Bible says, ‘A woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts that You sucked!” But He said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”’”
On a normal day you would probably just listen, take a few mental notes and drive on. But not this time. You’re feeling a little bit too saucy. You take the first exit you see and head for a phone. This is just one more reason why you need to buy that cell phone you’ve been talking about getting.

Sounds exactly like the handful of more rabid Catholics here (not all of the Catholics for sure!).
Yes, you do have different standards than we do, but ours are accepted as inspired by the Holy Spirit, almost universally, while yours are from the minds of men, and have changed numerous times over the 1600 years since they began. When I look at the posts of rabid Catholics I don't see bigots; I see fear that their man made system of salvation is crumbling.
If the word of God is a source of bigotry, give me bigotry.

After her Son was taken up to God and His throne, why would “Mary” flee into the wilderness? Where is it documented that she stayed there for 3 and a half years? Where is mention made anywhere in the bible to Mary along with 3 and a half years? What is the significance of that length of time?
When was Christ ever referred to as “Mary’s Seed?” Granted He is her son, but He is referred to biblically as “Abraham’s Seed”. Who is the rest of Mary’s seed? You can’t have it both ways: according to Catholics there are no “seed” after Christ.

12:6 THE WOMAN FLED. Here the woman refers to the persecuted faithful ones of Israel during the last half of the tribulation (cf. the 1260 days, exactly half of the length of the tribulation period. (1) During the tribulation, the faithful of Israel are God-fearing Jews who oppose the religion of the AntiChrist. Sincerely searching the Scriptures, they accept the truth about Jesus Christ as the Messiah (Dt 4:30-31; Zec 13:8-9). They receive diving help during the last three and a half years of the tribulation and Satan will not be allowed to overcome them completely (see vv. 13-16). (2) Those from Israel woh accept the religion of the antiChrist and reject the Scriptural truth of the Messiah will be judged and destroyed in the days of the great tribulation (see Eze 11:17-21, 20:34-38; Zec 13:8-9).

I much agree. I think the 12 stars is another confirmation.
And certainly the fleeing . . . in the middle of the Tribulation—consistent with the Jews beginning to be slaughtered from the Temple courtyard outward after and at the point where the AntiChrist sets up his image in the Holy of Holies and the Jews/Israelites realize they’ve been duped and begin to flee as he begins to massively slaughter them.
Many scholars believe they will be miraculously transported to Petra and miraculously protected and provisioned there. Decades ago, Bible believing organizations secreted Scriptures there about Christ for just such a time.
Some folks believe that the Eagle refers to the USA carrying the Israelites to Petra by aircraft.
In direct rebellion against the Scriptures about Christ’s blood brothers and sisters by Mary.

No it’s not because you’re just applying a major Roman dogma to the text. The writer’s intentions are not the focus but how to find the best way to apply derived dogma back onto the text.
