If it is true (as you indicated) that you have “nice” LDS neighbors and co-workers then you have to admit that Mormons are the first to offer help and the last to ask for it.

lds llc is pulling its 60,000 missionaries off of the street and accepting that mormonism is not Christian?
Well, it won't be very satisfying to stand in judgement before the Lord GOD Jesus and try to defend yourself because you did nice things.
Well, if you were a follower of Christ, you would know the answer to that.

Self-satisfaction = self righteousness. It is this self rigtheousness that keeps almost all LDS (and many others) away from a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. The LDS in particular love to boast about their own accomplishments and 'worthiness'.
Well, I have news for them, their is no worthiness without being washed in the blood of Jesus. It is HIS righteousness that saves, not our own.
Anyone who is a Christian knows exactly why we worry about the beliefs of others. There is nothing more important than sharing the Gospel of Grace with those who don't know or understand it.
Additionally, many of us have been LDS and left because we could no longer stand being lied to, and we have since come to know Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. For us, it is a calling to warn others about the LDS church, the lies the tell, their whitewashed history, and their unbiblical doctrines.
