[In light of Scott Brown's upset victory in Mass.]
Conservative leaders and their followers are excited about Scott Brown's victory and anxiously awaiting the 2010 elections this fall. Conservative leaders and their base are also touting that they can see the light at the end of the "Big Government" tunnel and are very optimistic. Though we should be excited about what may transpire this fall we should not be putting all our optimistic eggs into this cankering basket. What we will be witnessing in a future 2010 victory are the last struggling convulsions of a nation on the precipice of total collapse.

The absolute reality is that the conservative, optimistic ideal cannot support the excessive weight of the current crises and realities at hand. This fact must be recognized and accepted by the conservative right in this country. The current crises are reaching gigantic proportions - both nationally and globally. The good intentions and well wishes of this flawed ideology (Conservative optimism) has had its place in the past, but now in light of the global climate affected by ever-increasing human depravity, it is but a “spider’s web” of hope (Job 8:14). For harnessing the unbridled passions of fallen humanity (i.e., the opening of “Pandora’s Box"), there is nothing to do to bring them back again. Pandora’s Box was cracked open at the Fall of Man in Eden’s Garden (Genesis 3), but since the 60’s the lid has been completely removed. In this outworking of lawlessness, this movement has corrupted and contaminated the United States and the whole earth (Matt 24:12; 1 Tim. 4:1-2; 2 Tim. 3:1-7).

How do you plan on fixing a nation laden with the blood of 50 million babies (abortion), 90% of the worlds porn traffic usage, secular socialistic entrenchment Washington and in states, trillions in debt,Fascist colleges, millions socially dependent and lazy, drug addiction possessing millions and an American society that can not blush or has no fear of Almighty God (The Judge of all the world)

Not to rain on anyone’s parade but.. This is the reality of the Scott Brown win. It may slow things down but it is too late.
And until then what can we do, except what we think is right?
Yes, Brown is a populist-type but he's still from "Taxachusetts" and heard him give high praises to MA Healthcare plan (ala Romney, another moderate-lite).
He also praised himself for "reaching across the aisle to work with the other party" ala George W. Bush!
Many of us here were very frustrated upon finding that though he has "conservative issues on life and anti-terrorism," was NO conservative on protecting our borders, refusing to sign campaign finance "reform," and on and on, so pleeeeeease, don't let's ascribe our conservative Reaganesque ideals to Brown as many people attached their own hopes to "Obama, The Messi-uh!"

But when everything is totaled up we always walk away with less freedom than we had before, and satan walks away smilling.
Satan has been let loose and is a raging devil ( litterally )
and we will more than likely have to make a lot of choice,s that involves more than if we vote for the conservatives or the liberals.

The thing about "conservative pessimism" is that it gets the details right, but people need some optimism in the big picture to go on living.
