Coded references to New Testament Bible passages about Jesus Christ are inscribed on high-powered rifle sights provided to the United States military by a Michigan company, an ABC News investigation has found.
The sights are used by U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and in the training of Iraqi and Afghan soldiers. The maker of the sights, Trijicon, has a $660 million multi-year contract to provide up to 800,000 sights to the Marine Corps, and additional contracts to provide sights to the U.S. Army.

Interesting; I never knew this. And know what? Who cares?
I just put a TA11 on a DMR I just finished bulding, and it has "MT5:15" on it, which I'm guessing refers to Matthew 5:15: "Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.". The "lamp" must refer to the Tritium element. $;-)

Putting a good AR together is a piece of cake. I'm not very mechanically inclined, but all went well. Prints 1/2" groups @ 100m with both 75gr .223 Hornady TAP and 77gr Sierra Matchkings.
It would probably do better with a good shooter behind the sights... !

It must have been a slow news day for ABC, they had not taken a cheap shot at the American military so they came up with this.
BTW, what does Goot Mit Uns translate into english?

"Winning hearts and minds"...yeah, that worked real well in Vietnam. 'Bout as well as it's working in the Muslim world.
It's time to quit screwing around and fight this thing as a war, not a damn PR operation! If that means borrowing a little of God's Righteous Might and stamping it onto night sights used by our boys to kill Muzzie scumbags in the dark, I say more power to 'em.

One element of our mission in the Mideast is to convince the local populations that the United States supports their religious identity - hearts and minds How can we convince the local populations we support their religious identity when, in cases such as this, we can't even demonstrate to them that we support our own religious identity?
