Coded references to New Testament Bible passages about Jesus Christ are inscribed on high-powered rifle sights provided to the United States military by a Michigan company, an ABC News investigation has found.
The sights are used by U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and in the training of Iraqi and Afghan soldiers. The maker of the sights, Trijicon, has a $660 million multi-year contract to provide up to 800,000 sights to the Marine Corps, and additional contracts to provide sights to the U.S. Army.

One of the citations on the gun sights, 2COR4:6, is an apparent reference to Second Corinthians 4:6 of the New Testament, which reads: "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."
An apparent reference? If the author, who has access to a Bible, is too stupid to understand that these are direct references, how exactly does he think the enemy, without access to a Bible, is going to decipher these mysterious coded references?
"This is probably the best example of violation of the separation of church and state in this country," said Weinstein. "It's literally pushing fundamentalist Christianity at the point of a gun against the people that we're fighting. We're emboldening an enemy."
Right. /sarc
Yeah. Plus there's nothing like playing right into the hands of the enemy. If this is anything but a coincidence (which is almost impossible to believe), this company should lose it's contract.
Oops, my bad. Sorry.
LOL! Yup, I was tempted to rebut a bunch of those comments over there at ABC News, but then Michael Savage’s words came to mind, “Liberalism is a mental disorder.”
Cheers
I’ve been looking for a similar ABC article criticizing Commander in Chief Obama and his fellow travelers for campaigning in churches and violating their beloved separation of church and state.
Oh, wait. What? It isn’t really about that?
Out from the throne come flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder And there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God;
Hmm. Maybe
Really? Why? This is an American company that has put these references on their sights for years and it has never been an issue until abc decided that they needed a new way to hurt the war effort.
Revelations obviously, not Romans.
As per the article, the inclusion was intentional, and not by coincidence.
Gott mit uns, means "God with us", by the way.
You know, I was just thinking along those lines yesterday when Our Glorious Dark Overlord was spewing his BS from the pulpit. Obviously, the actions of godless commies are governed by a different set of rules than you or I must follow...
Cheers
Yup, that sounds more likely and makes me feel even warmer and fuzzier.
Cheers
That's how God works, right?
Hebrews 4:12.
Cheers
How does this play into the hands of the enemy?
This is a nothing story.
They know that Obama, Clinton and co. don’t really mean it—it’s just for public consumption and that’s cool for the sake of power.
The left won’t tolerate it from those who believe in a power higher than themselves though.
Why? Looks to me like the company was doing this long before it got any significant government contracts.

This is the most twisted statement of "logic"? I've ever seen.
A >"This is probably the best example of violation of the separation of church and state in this country," a non existent tenent
B "It's literally pushing fundamentalist Christianity at the point of a gun" An address from the Bible, silent, on a piece of equipment, is not "pushing" anything.
C "against the people that we're fighting." We aren't trying to convert them, we are trying to kill them.
D "We're emboldening an enemy" Why would anything, other than rolling over and playing dead "embolden" anybody? Do these people know how idiotic they sound?
I just completely LOVE IT!
My trijicon ACOG is JN8:12 Again Jesus spoke to them saying, “I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”
