I understand what you are saying, yet, we live in a world where there really is no isolation. People have exposure to different things. I am probably being naive, it just makes me wonder. Look at Africa as well. We know what goes on, we see it first hand, and yet it seems like no matter what they cannot get out of bondage. I am not saying that it is necessarily religion but so much evil does exist in these countries.

We can argue all day about whether the World/Universe/Creation was all made inside of 6,000 years or that God's illustration of what he did was misinterpreted through mankind's primitive understanding of the infinite.

God created all of the Universe long before mankind came along. The forces both incidental and incremental that drive the Universe were also here long before that time.

To claim that the bad forces in the Universe are the result of the sin of man is purely ignorant. The fact that mankind is here and living among these forces has nothing to do with whether mankind caused them or not.

The simple proof of that is, Christians, righteous and evil people are all effected by these forces equally and without discrimination. Those who hold a strong faith in God through out these disastrous forces are those who are saved.

The Universe is still perfect in and of itself. Mankind never has been perfect except for a few moments when/before God gave us a free will. The Garden of Eden is a fundamental illustration given to mankind so that we can better understand God's intent, but our primitive and simple minds took them literally. Those illustrations have been a hindrance to belief ever since.

I think that’s the fundamental difference between the two camps: one side sees God as Sovereign, One Who intends to return mankind to obedience at some point in history, the other side sees God as sitting back and having no response to sin, either corporate, national sin or individual sin, as sin doesn’t matter any more, and everything’s cool with God, no matter the millions of babies aborted, the amount of pornography consumed or the tens of millions of married people who spit upon their sacred vows.

I believe in the God is Sovereign theory...He hates sin, judeges people and nations of the their sins, and at some point He will bring all mankind to obey Him and His laws “every knee shall bow, every tongue confess.”

"There are many Christians in Haiti."

And what would be your evidence of that?

Not to be defending Pat the Flap, but Haiti is overcome with demonic activity; they even had a Satanic priest as president. Nothing on that island glorifies Christ.

“We can argue all day about whether the World/Universe/Creation was all made inside of 6,000 years or that God’s illustration of what he did was misinterpreted through mankind’s primitive understanding of the infinite.”

I didn’t mention any of that.

“To claim that the bad forces in the Universe are the result of the sin of man is purely ignorant. The fact that mankind is here and living among these forces has nothing to do with whether mankind caused them or not.”

Do you believe the Bible? Because the Bible contradicts this statement.

“The simple proof of that is, Christians, righteous and evil people are all effected by these forces equally and without discrimination. Those who hold a strong faith in God through out these disastrous forces are those who are saved.”

I agree with this and have been arguing this point from the beginning. It rains on the just and the unjust.

“The Universe is still perfect in and of itself. Mankind never has been perfect except for a few moments when/before God gave us a free will. The Garden of Eden is a fundamental illustration given to mankind so that we can better understand God’s intent, but our primitive and simple minds took them literally. The universe is not still perfect. Romans 8:22
For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

I have a friend who is a missionary to Haiti. She lost several Christian friends in this earthquake. China is overcome with evil as well but there is a growing and powerful Church there.

Which is why God sent his one and only son to live among us, to become the bearer of the Sins of man.

To then to die upon the cross washing away the sins of the Earth. From then forward, no man shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven except through him.

The Old Testament is no longer in effect. It became void on Calgary and the beginning of the New Testament. As did the rest of God’s punishment and wrath. That will now be reserved for our spiritual eternity.

To sum it up;

ETERNITY;

Smoking or Nonsmoking?

" I am as Christian as I am Conservative and I know this, God had nothing to do with what happened in Haiti."

The point is why God had nothing to do with it. He had nothing to do with it because they have nothing to do with him!

It merely contradicts how YOU interpret the Bible. NOT how I interpret it.

And, there you go again, judging others. Reserve that for yourself. Leave the rest up to God. (The Bible said so)

"Why hasn't God struck down America for abortion?"

He doesn't need to strike us down; all he has to do is sit back and watch our evil do us in. It's the absence of the hand of God that allows these things.

And I believe the same thing. I believe it is God who will bring all of mankind to obey him, not me or Pat Robertson. I can only witness to others. It is their heart that must be turned by them. But I also believe that there has to be sin. Sin has to exist for salvation to matter. If there is no sin, what is one saved from?

How did I judge you? The statement that mans sin did not affect the creation is against several scriptures.
Stating something is not judging. Judging would be for me to tell you that you were going to hell. I can’t see your heart and I don’t know so I can’t make that call. Pointing out error isn’t judging and no one will cause me to stop speaking the truth by playing the “judge not” card. However my post to you have been kind and yours to me have been hostile. You have called me a knuckle dragging “mental” case to paraphrase. You aren’t judging me are you? ;) Yes the Bible says judge not lest we be judged. It also says you shall know them by their fruit.

You are all over the map with your posts to me. When you can go back to the knuckle dragging comment and explain why you said that when I was clearly never supporting Pat Robertson then I will reply to you again. Until then I am finished with this rabbit trail. Hope you have a good evening!

" China is overcome with evil as well but there is a growing and powerful Church there."

The power of the church is only unto God's elect, not to the nation in which they reside. Haiti and China both have experienced tremendous natural disasters because they have rejected God's grace, and thus lack its benefits. This is happening here too.
