Jesus was very exclusive and narrow-minded: “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.” And He is right!
Fortunately, Hume works for a network that allows differing opinions to be aired. Even if that wasn’t the case, my guess is that Hume would tell his detractors to blow it out their you know whats.
I saw it and was impressed and startled. When does anything like that ever happen? Cheers for Brit!

Brit H is right on! Buddhism and Hinduism believe in a series of “merit/de-merit” rebirths. Thus, the Tasmaniam Devil is born that way because of sins committed in a prior life as is the baboon, the rattle-snake and the crocodile.
**Whether he can recover as a person [...] it seems to me, depends on his faith. Hes said to be a Buddhist. I dont think that faith offers the kind of forgiveness and redemption that is offered by the Christian faith. So my message to Tiger would be, Tiger, turn to the Christian faith and you can make a total recovery and be a great example to the world.**
Blessings for 2010 to Brit Hume. What a fellow!
Why do you ask?
Genuinely interested, or just wanting to fight?
It’s not heresy in that case. Heresy is variance from the doctrines of the faith. Christianity is non Buddhist; a complete departure from the Buddhist faith.
Can you address Mr. B assertion, i.e. “All religions are not equal, they do not all lead to the truth, and they do not all lead to God.” ?
God bless Brit for not being ashamed of the Gospel as so many Christians—even believing Christians—are.
Filed under "wish I'd said that first".
Certainly Buddhism does not lead to God, because it does not teach that He exists. Still God is the Creator of all men and desires that they be saved. So to the extent that Buddhism teaches men to act as if they had faith, then surely that is a good thing.

“Tiger Woods will recover as a golfer. Whether he can recover as a person I think is a very open question, and it’s a tragic situation for him. I think he’s lost his family, it’s not clear to me if he’ll be able to have a relationship with his children, but the Tiger Woods that emerges once the news value dies out of this scandal — the extent to which he can recover — seems to me to depend on his faith. He’s said to be a Buddhist; I don’t think that faith offers the kind of forgiveness and redemption that is offered by the Christian faith.
