Featured Term (selected at random):
On the plain of Shinar the people decided to build a town and erect a tower so high it would reach heaven. Yahweh distrusted their motives (Genesis 11:1-9). He confused their language so that they could not understand each other. Then he scattered the people over the earth.
Isn't this what all the politicians do? babble, babble, babble?
Oh, it spelled differently. What do you know! LOL!

Catholic Word of the Day Ping!
Please send me a FReepmail if you would like to be on the Catholic Word of the Day Ping List.
1 And when the days of the Pentecost were accomplished, they were all together in one place: 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a mighty wind coming, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared to them parted tongues as it were of fire, and it sat upon every one of them: 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they began to speak with divers tongues, according as the Holy Ghost gave them to speak. 5 Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem, Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. 6 And when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded in mind, because that every man heard them speak in his own tongue.(Acts 2)
Duh :)
I have been privileged to visit the Dom. Much more awe inspiring than Westminster Cathedral. It, more than anywhere else, placed my inadequate being in relation to Almighty God. To say awe inspiring is inadequate as well. It is like comparing a Cray to a four function calculator.
I went to Communion the Fourth Sunday of Advent in this wonderful church, which I discovered by driving along Rte 70. First, I thought I was seeing a mirage.
Thanks, I knew when I posted it that you would bring us some paintings.
Wow!
The miracles of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost.
Wasn’t it 3000 who were converted that day because everyone heard the apostles talking in their own language?
Wow. A beautiful twin spire church. The 1990s brought hideous prayer barns. The tide is turning, though...
41 They therefore that received his word, were baptized; and there were added in that day about three thousand souls. 42 And they were persevering in the doctrine of the apostles, and in the communication of the breaking of bread, and in prayers. (Acts 2)
