The original source came from a member who did not write it down but told to others have repeated it is not a revelation!
But this hearsay makes for good fodder for the disrespectful smarmy humans who are just wanting to stir the pot like there is nothing else that has to be done on earth but sit around shooting spitballs hoping it will make up for the inadequacy in the lives that are so lacking!
Who can not follow directions of the Lord in their own scriptures!
John 14
15 ¶ If ye love me, keep my commandments.
John 15:
12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.

The original source came from the personal journal of one of those that was present (John J. Roberts). Not hearsay but a first hand recounting (which is common in LDS history and also the source for many of the “canonized” teachings of Joseph Smith.
Secondly, if it is so suspect then WHY have so many LDS leaders, apostles, and prophets given the quote credence in their General Conferences (where the “word of the Lord” goes forth to the membership)?
Now, since you cannot refute those comments, you resort to ad hominum attacks again. *Sigh*
And here you go again accusing us of not being able to keep the “commandments” and not loving Christ or of not being loving to our fellow man.
Resty, it is not loving for you to make false accusations against us, or attempt to read our minds.
However, you are absolutely correct that there is a lack of “inadequacies” in my life. Christ makes up for any lack in my life and any “inadequacy”.
He is more fulfilling than any “church” could ever be. Come find peace and rest in Him and Him alone.
Isn't this Lds elder, Rammell "stirring the pot" by wanting to have an entire meeting around what you regard as "hearsay" -- and what was written down in a journal and then repeated by Lds "prophets," "apostles," and other general authorities -- over 20 times alone at General Confernces?
(Have you written to Rammell asking him not to stir the pot, or do you reserve your venom for only those who relay what the stirrers are doing?)
