But didn’t all the LDS on here accuse us of making this prophecy up?
Not “made up” per say, but it’s a third hand account so may or may not actually have come from Smith as it wasn’t included in any of Smith’s documents, D&C, or journals. He was also already dead when the two men came forward with their accounts, so Smith could not corroborate as according the the account Rushton, Turley, and Smith himself were the only people in the room.
Some LDS believe it to be a prophesy from Smith, some don’t, and others (like me) are undecided if it came from Smith or if it really matters.
But the Constitution is hanging by a thread in my opinion.
