Clearly it did. The fact that some bishops and priests failed in their duty doesn’t mean the Church “did not get the memo”.
And why the “(sic)”?
I grew up in that country 49 yrs ago tried to be the nice guy,altar boy, boy scout, etc...
Yeah i remember the kids going giggly back to the priests house,and turning up next day with money..
The (sic) maybe someone made a spelling mistake in calling it the Catholic Church..
