Father, we pray on behalf of all our troops, at home and abroad. We ask You to watch over them and all that concerns them. Give rest to their hearts, Lord, and keep them safe.
We pray particularly for the men and women who are serving overseas during the holiday season. Father, we ask that You would console them as they are apart from their families during this special time, and give each one many blessed Christmases in future years. Father, nothing can take away the joy of Your Son's coming to us; help our soldiers to have that joy this Christmas.
Lord, we pray for Your people, as throughout the world we prepare to celebrate Your birth. May this be a time of gladness for ushappiness in all You have given us, and in Jesus most of all.
Father, we praise You for the faithfulness of Your promises, for the justice You bring and the kindness You show. You who are humble and gentle at heart, who would not break a bruised reed or snuff out a smoldering wickto You the weary can come. We give You our humblest thanksgiving, in the Name of Jesus, Amen.
Come and pray.
