Why don’t you read about the Old Catholics before you post your musings? The Old Catholics left the Church after the Vatican I Council in 1870, which formally defined papal infallibility. I guess what happened- 140 years later, they ordain women and accept homosexuality. It took the Anglicans hundreds of years to get to that point.

It was America's first fascist President, a staunch and stiff-necked New Jersey Calvinist named
Woodrow Wilson who invented global authority.
You want fascism and global authority, start at Princeton.
Oh, and if you want a more-Calvinist-than-Calvin storefront sect founded by a segregationist pig, move a bit southward to Willow Grove, PA.

Thanks for posting the picture in Post 28.
I err'd in my Post 32 because I thought Wyn was a Womyn - but then I saw the picture you posted and realized I was mistaken...
Eh, that was only a minor sidebar on my post, but my comments about She-Bishops was misplaced...

No, no, no. You got it all wrong. The Bishop of Rome is the guy in WHITE.
I suppose old, caucasin males can all kinda look the same.

False bishop of Rome in a dress and Prada footwear...Yeah, you said that already.
His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI, in a cassock and Prada footwear:
Segregationist pig draped in a stunning purple evening gown with plum sash and an air of his own self-righteousness...

I’m afraid it is you who is insulting Roman Catholics by your wholly misguided assertion that this fringe group has anything to do with the Catholic Church (I happen to have an earned Ph.D. - in religion & theology, though I choose not to advertise it after my name)

The vast majority of Freepers reading this thread, even if they have disagreements with the Church, would side with the real Catholics on this one. I mean come on. This is the thread they pick to start blasting away??!!

Do you know the difference between political posturing and political action?
Coolidge and the Republicans rejected the League of Nations and forced the U.S. to reject the treaty
Maybe this is why we see so many liberal Roman Catholics on FR who call themselves "conservative."
They don't know the meaning of the word.

If these are some of the folks who oppose the Catholic Church, the Body of Christ, the Church established by Jesus and headed by the successor of Peter, we must be doin’ all right.

Calvin Coolidge was heir to an attitude of Know Nothingism.
The Immigration Act of 1924 baring Eastern and Southern Europeans (read Catholic) and Japanese sums up the inner Coolidge nicely.
The bigotry he expressed by signing the Act seems to be inculcated in his inner most beliefs.

Coolidge and the Republicans rejected the League of Nations and forced the U.S. to reject the treaty.Calvinist Presbyterian fascist Woodrow Wilson INVENTED the League of Nations, traveled to Paris to attend at its birth, but could not sell it to the Senate. It nonetheless was born and lives on today in its successor form: the United Nations.

But earlier up thread we were told that this Old Catholic denomination was created in 2007.
So many RC denominations it's difficult to keep track.

“Do you know the difference between political posturing and political action?”
Yes, liars posture for political gain, much like old Calvin Coolidge.
To bad his Calvinism glossed over that whole Father of Lies part in theology.
