The American Family Association is calling on consumers to boycott Gap Inc. and its brands, which include Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic, this holiday season. more...
How about we do something really important like march on the capitol and run the bums out of office.
I’ve never been to a Gap store in years. I think it was right after a college drinking buddy of mine told me that Gap stands for “Gay and proud”.
No offense, but the historical reason Christmas is celebrated just days after winter solstice (December 21st) is because of pre-existing European traditions for its celebration before the spread of Christianity.
I’m certainly not a Wiccan of any kind, but my understanding has always been that Christmas trees, Easter eggs, etc, come from these pre-Christian traditions.
I remember when they started putting Christmas trees in our protestant church when I was younger. Many members of the church were upset about these “Wiccan” traditions being brought into the sanctuary.
Looks like AFA has ended the boycott of Gap and Old Navy...
But the boycott is still on for BestBuy and Dick’s Sporting Goods.
Kudos and thanks to AFA for standing up for positive values!
