"The Catholic Church claims it is the only true church".

lol. "Claims"?. Wow. You have some reading to do.

And of course, mormonism is a cult. read anything on www.exmormon.org. Read anything about Joe's Myth. They're a non-Christian cult, is all. But hey, they're nice folk. Just miserably misguided, is all. Very sad. Except for the folks on www.exmormon.org.

"Honestly...I don’t think Catholics, who are living in glass houses, should throw stones at Mormons".

--We don't "throw" any stones at mormons. We just simply do not recognize them (nor do any Christian faiths) as Christians. It's just the truth. It's not the mormon's fault that they are brainwashed down the wrong road. They can blame it all on the fake-profit - Joe Smith. Jus'sayin'.

Joe Smith is to “religion” what Nancy Pelosi is to “democracy”.

Ironic is the word I would use.

The LDS relies heavily on the division between the denominations for proof of the “legitmacy” all the while ignoring that which seoperates us is for the most part procedural and liturgical, and all by the designs of man and his tastes.

The one message of his word, that we are saved by his Grace is the most important.

Funny I just had a Baptist friend convert to Catholicism in a very Conservative Catholic Church. They accepted his Baptism and did not require Catechism though he took it anyways.

**I prefer not to discuss religion at all.**

Then why are you posting in the religion forum?

I did not discuss substantive issues of specific religious beliefs and only that my religoud beliefs and those of others are best kept as private matters. When Muslims endorse jihad or radical sects commit ritual murders, then discussions related to groups is justified because their effects on innocent parties.

their Jesus is not the Jesus of the Bible.

Even Munson, former leader of the mormons, admitted that...

“The jesus we worship is not the traditional Jesus of the Christians...”

At the Cross

Alas! and did my Savior bleed
And did my Sovereign die?
Would He devote that sacred head
For such a worm as I?

At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light,
And the burden of my heart rolled away,
It was there by faith I received my sight,
And now I am happy all the day!

Was it for crimes that I had done
He groaned upon the tree?
Amazing pity! grace unknown!
And love beyond degree!

At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light,
And the burden of my heart rolled away,
It was there by faith I received my sight,
And now I am happy all the day!

But drops of grief can ne’er repay
The debt of love I owe:
Here, Lord, I give my self away
’Tis all that I can do.

At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light,
And the burden of my heart rolled away,
It was there by faith I received my sight,
And now I am happy all the day!

When one believes sincerely, that he has to give a password and a secret handshake to get by Joseph Smith to get into heaven, he does not hold Christian beliefs.
