I FReepmailed the Admin Moderator and asked for my login to be deleted.
Perhaps there is one more thing I can do to get my membership ended: deliberately get myself banned. If all else fails, I’ll resort to that. Trust me, it will be enjoyable.
There you are!
Welcome back, again!
If I were to reset your cookies, no one would be forcing you to log in again.
If I were to ban your account at your request, there would be no just cause to ban you again as a retread if you logged in under a different name.
Your case is a matter of self-control.
If you want to be forever banned then you would need to grossly violate Free Republic policy. You'd have to swear to be a racist, Marxist, pro-abortionist or violent person.
I respect you too much to believe you would make any such statement.
Don’t go.Take some time off.((((((Hugs)))))
Sorry to read that you're giving up on FR. I've learned that FR is more than just certain topics or threads. There's many posters here who make the board enjoyable, are willing to have an interesting, fun discussion about many topics. The Canteen is a wonderful place (for example) and even though I don't participate as much as I'd like, I enjoy just reading those threads when I can. Amy's Place is another enjoyable forum, although I usually just read it when I can and don't participate by posting.
I'm Catholic and sometimes I'll read posts on FR that shock me but I'm learning that those posters who spend their time hating or being consumed by their hatred of the Catholic Church are a minority, not only on this board but in real life.
You were nice to me when I first joined FR. I enjoyed reading your posts in the religion forum when I used to read that forum regularly. But, I enjoy reading your posts in other topics and would hate to see you leave or purposely get banned.
I learned that when it comes to online, the easiest thing to do is to walk away from the computer or shut it off, for a time.
In my short time here at FR, I made a couple really great friends and a few acquaintances and that carried over to real life.
Whatever you decide, I'm glad I had the chance to post with you.
Dear Judith Anne,
There are so many here who would miss you. Obviously we have to avoid being lead into temptation and avoid the near occasion of sin. If the open religious threads are a source of negativity for you, you would be right to avoid them. But your soul and spirit can be nourished by participating on all the other threads. We certainly need you there. I hope you will consider it.
The hatred we see evidence of on this thread alone is nothing new. It has always been so. The Pharisees spoke in similar ways to Christ and you are united with Him in that. They feared and loathed the Truth. He warned us that we would suffer greatly by clinging to His words. Your stripes are beautiful to Him. Take comfort in that and offer it up. Turn the negativity the Pharisees spew into something good— for you AND for God.
I think Christ rather enjoyed making the Pharisees squirm, don’t you?
God bless you always,
M.
