I have seen no overt anti-catholic bias. As a matter of fact I am working on becoming catholic. Please stay, but understand that this is a political site, not a religious site.
Stay and fight the bigots. If people like you and me and others who get offended for having beliefs that aren't "acceptable" to supposed "conservatives," all the good folks will have left, and only the bigots will remain.
I have issues with some of the beliefs that float around here, but there's no other place on the net with so much good information and interesting posters.
Don't let the few jerks win. I've been coming here since 2001, folks like us and those who have been here even longer need to stay and not be chased out.

Hey, there are some of us Catholics still here. I usually just ignore the ignorant anti-Catholics, esp those who say we don’t believe in Christ as the way et al. They’re idiots, but they’re also a tiny minority. Far many more good posters and good info here. Would be a shame to lose you!
Aw, come on. I can actually read their stuff and pray for them now. There are new ones occasionally but most of them eventually go away because they know they can’t beat us, we are too well informed.
Catholic-Been here since 98-haven’t seen it. If anything it seems like this place has become more Catholic since then with all the “Daily word of the day” type stuff. I bash CINOS and weak spineless officials all the time and have been accused of being anti-RC at times when Im really just after the cinos.
Don't let the mal-contents win, stay and fight. And if your leaving because you got your feelings hurt by someone who disagrees with you, perhaps you shouldn't be so thin skinned on the matter.

As a convert to Catholicism from protestantism, I speak from personal experience when I say that some of the most vile, desperate, and bigoted attacks on the Church are ironically made by those closest to converting. The positive example that you and those like you make here in defense of the Faith will reap more for the Glory of God than you can know in this world, but thankfully you will given a full account in the next. I hope that you will rethink your departure.
I was checking out your in forum posts. So people disagreed with you. You don’t run away when they do that. They WILL do that on FreeRepublic. It keeps the ‘free’ in the Republic.

As a Catholic and Freeper, I encourage you to stay. Like others have suggested, there’s no overt anti-Catholic sentiments on FR. In fact, I always thought FR was quite pro-Catholic.

We all know the two little sweethearts who have finally broken the camel’s back for you. You just have to understand what miserable people they are. They spend all their time insulting and belittling Catholics.
I haven’t responded to them for years. They are the type who would pull the wings off of butterflies and take candy from babies. They are thoroughly unpleasant and I don’t think I’d like them if they were Catholic but thankfully the Bible doesn’t say that we have to LIKE people, phew.
Huh... I’m not a Catholic but I have been to a few Catholic services lately and I thought they were terrific... more modernized, and different, than I expected. They had some really excellent singers, too. I checked out your postings history and believe that you are a good and strong freeper. Don’t let the whack jobs win. Stick around and keep smiling.
