Time for me to leave FR.
Since this is a religious thread, I will not post.
What? Oh, oops!
Obviously, you’re blind to the truth that he has foresaken his faith. Any real “Romanist” wouldn’t be doing that.
“Obviously, youre blind to the truth that he has foresaken his faith. Any real Romanist wouldnt be doing that.”
BBBWWWAAA!!!
You’ll reach for any straw you can get.
Is that why he was praying to Mary at the UN a few years back?
BBBWWWAAA!!!
LMAO
Chavez?
Nope. He's Venezuelan.
Judith, if the idiots will not respect your views, ask where they live and take your dogs over there, they will change thier minds!!!
Please don’t leave.
Let’s see- trying to pass pro-abortion laws, antigonizing the Catholic hierarchy in the country, calling his thugs to intimidate bishops, criticizing the Pope. Yeah, some Catholic he is! You have the credibility problem.
I understand you don’t like him but you try to pull off a quick one that no Romanists is ever a Leftists and that’s the most absurd comment on this forum. Chavez considers himself a Romanists whether you like it or not. Has the Church excommunicated him? No! Therefore, he is still a Romanist!
Shucks, the most influential members of Congress are Leftist Romanists.
I didn’t say that. I said he has foresaken his faith.
You’re the one who made the absurd comment in the first place: “This is why Romanism is synonymous with Liberalism.”
I backed it up. I didn’t go on some wild tangent on the French Revolution and forget about the Commie Chavez.
If your claim was true, then why were the founders of the conservative movement after World War II largely Catholic?
27 Dem Senators are Catholic.
9 Republican Senators are Catholic.
The Neo-Cons?
Russell Kirk, William F. Buckley, Brent Bozell II, Allen Tate were all Catholics. All but Buckley were converts.
WOW!!!
That’s over half the Senate.
I think we can safely assume that the general Romanist population reflects the percentage of Republican versus Democrat in the Senate and if we further allow for Pyro’s statement that Leftist Romanists have abandoned their faith then we must come to the conclusion that 2/3rds of the Romanists population in the US have abandoned their faith.
OUCH.
Sorry to read that you're giving up on FR. I've learned that FR is more than just certain topics or threads. There's many posters here who make the board enjoyable, are willing to have an interesting, fun discussion about many topics. The Canteen is a wonderful place (for example) and even though I don't participate as much as I'd like, I enjoy just reading those threads when I can. Amy's Place is another enjoyable forum, although I usually just read it when I can and don't participate by posting.
I'm Catholic and sometimes I'll read posts on FR that shock me but I'm learning that those posters who spend their time hating or being consumed by their hatred of the Catholic Church are a minority, not only on this board but in real life.
You were nice to me when I first joined FR. I enjoyed reading your posts in the religion forum when I used to read that forum regularly. But, I enjoy reading your posts in other topics and would hate to see you leave or purposely get banned.
I learned that when it comes to online, the easiest thing to do is to walk away from the computer or shut it off, for a time.
In my short time here at FR, I made a couple really great friends and a few acquaintances and that carried over to real life.
Whatever you decide, I'm glad I had the chance to post with you.
Yes, unfortunately, they have.
Well said, as usual :)
You didn’t answer my question.
