Jesus is God the Son. He is Jehovah, God of the old testament. Jesus is the only name under heaven whereby man can be saved.
Are there multiple Gods out there? Yes. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. They form one Godhead which we worship. Are there any other Gods out there? If there are we don't worship them. Do works count? Yes of course they do. We show our faith by our works. We are commanded to have good works. On the day of judgment I would much rather find out that my good works were not needed, then to find out that I need at least some good works and not have them.
The Lord has said that "if ye are not one ye are not mine." Yes we do have differences. It would be better for us to put aside our differences and concentrate on the things we have in common.

And that is why Mormons ARE NOT Christians.
Outsiders wanting into the party don’t define the truth, the insiders do.
BTW, Mormonism sez we are saved by our own works first, Jesus just fills in the gaps. The Christians works flow out of loving gratitude. There is a huge difference.
It’s all of Christ.
