Fr. Antoine Thomas is a native of France. Before joining the Brothers of St. John in 1985, he was a member of the French Army in the Alpine Troops, pursued a degree in marketing both in France and the US, and enjoyed many active sports such as hang gliding, windsurfing, and mountain climbing in the Alps. The Congregation of St. John is one of the fastest growing religious orders within the Catholic Church. Founded in 1975 by Father Marie-Dominique Philippe, an outstanding Dominican figure in our time, the Order now numbers over 900 Brothers and Sisters who have been called to over 20 countries.

Fr. Antoine was ordained in 1992. After six years as chaplain of a large Catholic school in Paris, he was the prior of the new foundation of his community in Peoria, Illinois for six years. He was also the chaplain to the Bradley University students during that time. He now resides as at St Joseph’s Priory in Princeville, Illinois.

Fr. Antoine has given many Youth 2000 retreats throughout the United States, as well as seminars and retreats to seminarians and to active and contemplative sisters. He has formed a children's Eucharistic Adoration program known as “Children of Hope” which is being implemented in parishes around the World. Fr. Antoine is a regular guest on EWTN. He has filmed several series for them, as well as appearing on "Life on the Rock", “Mother Angelica Live”, and other shows.

Father Antoine has led children in Adoration all around the world. He has taken this program to Australia, Mexico, Canada, and many other countries. He has led in parishes and Cathedrals. In each place the message is the same, "To bring children close to the Heart of Jesus and to gaze upon Him in Adoration." He has participated in Eucharistic Congresses in Guadalajara, St Paul, Minnesota, and this Summer will be leading at the Eucharistic Congress in Canada.

When Children Adore, the singing, his way with a Robert Clary Corporal Lebeau type of French accent, this was great stuff to watch, of course for children but reminded me of Catholic Grade School, the good side!

First off, I always websearch with Bing.com, websearch “Father Antoine Thomas” (from www.bing.com) and it is there on the first page so I just decided to come to this thread since I am on FR. I hope that was okay. About the 5th entry down.

I did not have to work today, I decided I would tune into EWTN and the afternoon show included Father Antoine Thomas, it was a children’s show but the music was beautiful and it was a great watch.

Just before they had another show I had never seen, for children praying the chaplet of Divine Mercy and it was a cartoon and Sister Faustina was in it. I thought that was real good too along with Our Lord Savior Jesus Christ as well.

It sort of got me pumped, I’d been under the weather, recuperating. These shows were very inspirational. I decided instead of having Fox News or some of the other channels I turn on, I don’t watch much tv, I should try to watch more EWTN.

Thanks for the background info! I had forgotten that FR threads pop up on Bing searches.

I posted this thread after watching the first airing of that program with Fr. Antoine on EWTN. I also purchased the DVD and donated it to my parish. The music is simple but haunting. I am also quite devoted to the Divine Mercy message and pray the chaplet each day at 3pm. Our Lord's messages to St. Faustina should be read by everyone. He said they were intended to prepare the world for His return.
