Well I’ll be darned, there’s one greater than Jesus here.
If you dispute the plainness of the scripture I have nothing to argue or add.
But, We were angels. We are angels. Now we dwell in the flesh under the cloud of temporal life and sleep.
Anyway, can you explain the apparent contradiction between your belief that humans are actually angels, and the following Scriptures? By the way, here is the Scripture you posted, in context:
Luke 20:34-36
Jesus said to them, "The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage,
but those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage;
for they cannot even die anymore, because they are like angels, and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.
Now that what Jesus said is in it's proper context and can be properly understood, we can move on.
Angels are supernatural beings distinctly separate from the race of man:
Hebrews 1: 13, 14:
But to which of the angels has He ever said, "SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND,UNTIL I MAKE YOUR ENEMIES A FOOTSTOOL FOR YOUR FEET"?
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?
1 Corinthians 6:2,3
Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? If the world is judged by you, are you not competent to constitute the smallest law courts?
Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more matters of this life?
1 Corinthians 15:39-40
All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one flesh of men, and another flesh of beasts, and another flesh of birds, and another of fish.
There are also heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is one, and the glory of the earthly is another.
Angels were created prior to the creation of man:
Job 38:4-7
Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?
Tell Me, if you have understanding,
Who set its measurements? Since you know.
Or who stretched the line on it?
On what were its bases sunk?
Or who laid its cornerstone,
When the morning stars sang together And all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Why were angels created?
I. For ministry to God (worship):
II. For ministry to man (the "heirs of salvation"):
Specific duties have been assigned to angels:
Angels minister to the physical needs of God's people.
I. They provide protection and deliverance from danger.
II. Angels can impart physical strength to man in his time of need.
I can go on if you like, but in the interest of time I'll stop here.
Please provide the supporting Scriptures for your assertion that human beings are actually angels.
Thanks.
