How is a Catholic word different from an English word? Or just a Christian word? Sounds a bit territorial.

Because the source for them is “Modern Catholic Dictionary”. As with any thematic dictionary, the words are chosen because of their relevance to Catholics in particular. See a sample in the preceding post.

It has other religious references which might not be found in an English Dictionary.
