WONDERS OF WONDERS ARE IN MY NAME " JESUS " !
The Joshua Chronicles ^ | Jedediah

Posted on 10/12/2009 11:11:44 AM PDT by Jedediah

There is a storm brewing and this storm shall not stop or deviate from its path and the name of this storm is " Righteousness " " for my name's sake " !

My name is on my priests as a placard upon their foreheads and I shall not be defamed !

Therefore now I shall work my outstretched arm over the nations to perform this " My Will ", for The Father has said "This is my Son in whom I am well pleased !" .

So watch now as I " well up " in my children yeah ! sing about it even now for soon you shall see the fruit of my ways and as it bears forth you shall know it is of Me for it shall be glorious as it performs my word , yeah ! every jot and tittle . Behold the glory of the latter house shall be great !

Oh wonder of wonders are in my very name !

Genesis 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.

Exodus 28:36-38

36 “You shall also make a plate of pure gold and engrave on it, like the engraving of a signet:

HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

37 And you shall put it on a blue cord, that it may be on the turban; it shall be on the front of the turban. 38 So it shall be on Aaron’s forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things which the children of Israel hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall always be on his forehead, that they may be accepted before the LORD.

Isaiah 11:5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Isaiah 53:1 1Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

Isaiah 59:16-19

16And He saw that there was no man and wondered that there was no intercessor [no one to intervene on behalf of truth and right]; therefore His own arm brought Him victory, and His own righteousness [having the Spirit without measure] sustained Him.

17For [the Lord] put on righteousness as a breastplate or coat of mail, and salvation as a helmet upon His head; He put on garments of vengeance for clothing and was clad with zeal [and furious divine jealousy] as a cloak.

18According as their deeds deserve, so will He repay wrath to His adversaries, recompense to His enemies; on the foreign islands and coastlands He will make compensation.

19So [as the result of the Messiah's intervention] they shall [reverently] fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him and put him to flight [for He will come like a rushing stream which the breath of the Lord drives .

Haggai 2:9

'The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,' says the LORD of hosts, 'and in this place I will give peace,' declares the LORD of hosts."

actually called to the office of prophet . . . probably 12-20 or so. I really haven’t kept track.

What are their names? I truly doubt I would forget the name of a genuine prophet and I would certainly keep track of how many.

The Lord Jesus had a lot less words for such naysayers than I have. And His words were a LOT MORE HARSH than mine have been.

Is this the answer to my question about false prophets?

Being fallen angels, they lie rather chronically.

Even government officials are incredulous at the extent of their lying. Yet, they go on gullibly following along. Mystifying.

So, could some of the ETs that visit in UFOs be false prophets?

Naw. . . . more a word to the wise for the harsher dog pilers and rock throwers . . . kind of foolish, actually, such folks never pay the least bit of attention to words to the wise.

Category doesn’t seem to fit.

I’d say all of them are. 100% . . . if they say anything about the future . . . at least some lie will be woven into it.

I have kept up. Neither you nor your prophet have offered anything but evasion and name-calling. You suggest you may have an explanation, but you won’t share it with us because we aren’t worthy.

You suggest you are being persecuted by ‘rabid RCs’, but I’m about as far from a rabid RC as one can get.

What’s next for divine revelation? Imaprophet.com? Computer prophesy-generating software?

I’m not sure I’ve ever agreed with Petronski on anything, but this IS beginning to feel like bad performance-art...

Methinks you come late to such parties.

These discussions have been going on for a decade or more.

I think you’re wrong.

I think your attitude is wrong.

I think your Biblical support for your positions are a bit askew.

I think your caring is askew.

I don’t find much useful or edifying in your posts about JEDEDIAH at all.

That I bother to blather in response is slightly interesting to me.

And you are kind enough to cite the answer: “For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

Yes, I DID cite the answer, but I don't think you understood it. ALL of the prophets of Jehovah, from the beginning of the world, bore the Testimony of Jesus. The same Spirit which is in us was in them.

Now the Spirit is poured out upon all men, but not all men prophesy. The gifts are given as the Spirit sees fit.

The design of prophecy is to bear testimony to Jesus. The language does not mean, of course, that this is the only design of prophecy, but that this is its great and ultimate end.

No. It is Jesus' testimony. It bears witness to the Father. It is His proof that He is God. He IS the Mighty I AM. There is no other. He has borne this witness from the ancient days, and it will surely come to pass. Every single word.

Now, in both the Old & New Testament, prophecy normally was linked to telling the future.

You seem to vacillate... almost trying to redefine the term "prophet" in the NT... If that is what you are trying to do, I think it is a mistake. Note that I am not accusing you here, because you don't quite pull it off...

A prophet IS a prophet. The office hasn't changed.

Have I known anyone in a Baptist church who gives specific predictions about the future in the name of God? A few...most churches have experienced Pentacostal ‘prophets’ who come through, and validate their ministry via specific predictions about the future - except that, without exception, every one I’ve seen who has given specific predictions of the future has been proven false!

Then something is terribly wrong in the Body of Christ, wouldn't you say?

As for the fellow who posts as ‘Jedediah’

For the moment, I don't care to comment upon Jedediah himself. I am more interested in the concept generically.

It is interesting that in listing the gifts of the Spirit, he gives 3 with an order: Apostle, Prophet, Teacher. This could be an order of importance. After all, he writes to desire the higher gifts. Or maybe not [...]

No. As a Baptist, I don't need to caution you about reading a passage in context, nor will I have to argue about the fact that chapter numbers are an affectation of later editors for easy reference... Reading through to about I Cor 14 should assuage any fears. The reader is encouraged to reach for the "higher" gifts, and most of all, prophecy.

That does lend itself to the argument that apostleship is no longer assigned, though I do not believe that. Apostles are the planters, and therefore are not called within the assembly... but rather are usually found on the front lines of establishment.

I admit, I’m one of those who think Peter was proven wrong here - that the 12th Apostle was Paul, chosen by God in HIS time.

I am with you. There are twelve foundations in New Jerusalem written with the names of the Apostles. Paul is so prolific, I would dare to say he will be inscribed thereupon. So much for apostolic succession...

Whichever way you look at it, the Apostles were not just people who planted churches. They also had God’s authority in a way such that, in reviewing what should be scripture, one of the main tests was ‘Did it come from an Apostle, either first or second hand?’

The argument can be made that the Scriptures are sealed. No one will add to it. Apostles and prophets today have all the authority of old with that exception. They may write, but nothing can bear the authority of Scripture any more.

But someone whose ministry is to stand up and say, “This is what God says about the future: XYZ”? nope. Without exception, those I’ve seen try it have been proven false.

As I said above, there must be something very, very wrong then. Both the Jews and the early Christians had schools for prophets... And it isn't just prophets, mind you... It is ALL of the gifts... they prove the sanction of the Spirit upon the Church and upon the people in it.

No offense meant. Baptists CAN bear a mighty witness. I have seen the Spirit come down into a Southern Baptist congregation with my own eyes. It is my opinion that of all the mainstream faiths, the Baptists would have the easiest time understanding and accepting great works of the Spirit occurring in their midst.

But it is my assertion that the mainstream denominations have so disconnected themselves from the fire of the Spirit that they wouldn't even WANT a great work to happen among them.

I wonder how many will stand up to my challenge?

Probably very few. When a significant time has gone by, I should call for the Spirit-filled to testify. You will hear miracle upon miracle, prophecy upon prophecy.

It is the Spirit that sanctions. While everyone laughs and ridicules Pentecostals/Charismatics, they bear evidence and testimony to His Presence.

It might be easy for some to hide behind a "the Catholics are attacking me" facade, but this has NOTHING to do with that.

This is not a theological difference between Catholics and mainstream Protestants or Baptists. This is about a small cult following a false prophet and it is in violation of EVERY tenet of Christianity.

Definitions of pontificate on the Web:

I refer you to your post #354 above, where you say:

“I’ve pontificated at some length about false prophets and variouis reasonable criteria.”

So, a “pontificator” is either the head of the Roman Catholic Church, or a pompous, supercilious, dogmatist.

Which is it? That term has appeared in quite a number of your posts, referring to your rantings.

This comes from earlier when I was accused of pontificating and I then pointed out that it is not actually possible to pontificate if all you are doing is asking questions.

God’s task is to conform us to the image of His son.

It can be wise to check on the progress from time to time.

Happy to oblige with offering you another target for another rock.
