There is a storm brewing and this storm shall not stop or deviate from its path and the name of this storm is " Righteousness " " for my name's sake " !
My name is on my priests as a placard upon their foreheads and I shall not be defamed !
Therefore now I shall work my outstretched arm over the nations to perform this " My Will ", for The Father has said "This is my Son in whom I am well pleased !" .
So watch now as I " well up " in my children yeah ! sing about it even now for soon you shall see the fruit of my ways and as it bears forth you shall know it is of Me for it shall be glorious as it performs my word , yeah ! every jot and tittle . Behold the glory of the latter house shall be great !
Oh wonder of wonders are in my very name !
Genesis 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.
Exodus 28:36-38
36 You shall also make a plate of pure gold and engrave on it, like the engraving of a signet:
HOLINESS TO THE LORD.
37 And you shall put it on a blue cord, that it may be on the turban; it shall be on the front of the turban. 38 So it shall be on Aarons forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things which the children of Israel hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall always be on his forehead, that they may be accepted before the LORD.
Isaiah 11:5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.
Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Isaiah 53:1 1Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
Isaiah 59:16-19
16And He saw that there was no man and wondered that there was no intercessor [no one to intervene on behalf of truth and right]; therefore His own arm brought Him victory, and His own righteousness [having the Spirit without measure] sustained Him.
17For [the Lord] put on righteousness as a breastplate or coat of mail, and salvation as a helmet upon His head; He put on garments of vengeance for clothing and was clad with zeal [and furious divine jealousy] as a cloak.
18According as their deeds deserve, so will He repay wrath to His adversaries, recompense to His enemies; on the foreign islands and coastlands He will make compensation.
19So [as the result of the Messiah's intervention] they shall [reverently] fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him and put him to flight [for He will come like a rushing stream which the breath of the Lord drives .
Haggai 2:9
'The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,' says the LORD of hosts, 'and in this place I will give peace,' declares the LORD of hosts."
And that would mean 100% true, 100% of the time. We are talking about genuine prophecy, not educated guesses.
I can say with near certainty that sometime in the next two years, somewhere in the world there will be a devastating natural disaster that will kill at least 10,000 people and do at least $1 billion in damages. This disaster could be a hurricane, a flood, a tsunami, an earthquake or landslide. Could I proclaim myself a "prophet" when this happens? Of course not, these events have been occurring on a regular basis throughout recorded history.
As I mentioned yesterday, Christ's warnings against false prophets lead me to conclude that He knew we would have to deal with them and we needed to be aware how dangerous they are. Many people want to ignore the fact that they are wolves dressed as sheep, they are going to APPEAR legitimate.
Does anyone actually believe that if God sent a prophet the prophets main form of communication would be a poorly-written blog that had to be linked to a conservative political forum in order to generate any degree of visibility?
Do you mean Rick Joyner? The crackpot who writes about how he is periodically transported to Heaven by Jesus Christ to commune with the saints, that Rick Joyner?
MY sheep hear my voice ! Walk in love not as hammers !
Now, in the post above you refer to the voice of Jesus and His sheep; however, here you refer to MY sheep and MY voice. Are you claiming to be Jesus Christ? Because THAT IS EXACTLY the way you have written it. I am not aware of a single passage in the New Testament where there is ANY DOUBT as to whether or not it was Jesus Christ speaking. Your ambiguity is very revealing.
God calls Israel the apple of His eye. Believers are as well.
Of course. Christians are the Israel of God.
Let the foaming at the mouth begin.
I don’t concede “cannot”
Will not is different from “cannot.”
I don’t blame Jedediah for refusing to do so as well.
I’ve sometimes explained things in some cases with some people. Was fitting.
Usually, I feel a check to avoid explaining. Send the person to God. Explaining only inserts more likelihood of more distortion, more confusion, . . . sending the person to God helps insure that God translates whatever HE wants to the individual in the individual’s terms.
I doubt any authentic prophet of God is going to fill the bill precisely to YOUR prescription.
God doesn’t tend to produce them that stereotypically.
Every one I’ve ever met is very much a bird of rare plumage.
Goes with the territory.
More virulent . . . pontification, I see.
REPLACEMENTARIANS et al do quite adequately with the foaming at the fingers stuff.
PING
Do you actually know what pontification means or do you just associate everything negative with Catholicism and choose to use variations of pontificate and pontification? Most of my post #322 that you dismiss as pontification is in the form of QUESTIONS and it is IMPOSSIBLE for a question to be pontificating.
What I would like to know from you is why your newly-deified prophet is unwilling to answer questions for himself. If you want to defend a blasphemous charlatan that is certainly your right, but don't be surprised when others are more skeptical.
Thanks for the ping!
God doesnt tend to produce them that stereotypically.
Every one Ive ever met is very much a bird of rare plumage.
How many "authentic prophets" have you actually met Quix?
Are we talking about straight-up prophets or did some of them come out of UFOs?
Now THAT'S a good question.
LOL!
And one I can’t wait to hear the answer to. I wonder if it will be an exact number or more of an approximation.
I expect an evasion.
I expect an evasion.
At best.
If the ETs in the UFOs have actually been to the future they can’t really be counted as prophets can they?
“Every one Ive ever met is very much a bird of rare plumage.”
I doubt very much that you have EVER met a true prophet of God.
You act as though I’m imposing some unbearable burden on the ‘prophet’ - but all I’m asking for are two things, both IAW God’s Word: a way to compare the meaning of his ‘prophecies’ against scripture, and evidence that he has predicted the future.
Jedediah has offered neither. Since both are GOD’S requirements for a true prophet, I think we have a decision on Jedediah.
I’ve pinged two folks who know I’m not a fan of ‘Pontiffs’ - but the only pontificating here is from you and Jedediah. It means “to speak in a pompous or dogmatic manner” - to act as though one carries divine authority in his person.
I’m no fan of Popes, but let’s give credit where it is deserved - they don’t ‘pontificate’ behind an Internet alias, do they? I do not believe for a moment the Pope is the Vicar of Christ, but he isn’t hiding, is he?
But after all the warnings about false prophets, you demand we accept this Internet Prophet at face value, because...well, because he claims to be one.
Sorry. That doesn’t cut it.
I’m pretty well convinced of Sola Scriptura. It means scripture is the rule for the church, but it ALSO means scripture is sufficient for - what does it say? “...so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
Folks may disagree with me - I freely admit I make errors - but they ought to be able to grant I’m consistent. I can also write sentences that make sense...
Why have you not addressed the problem of false prophets? If what I ask is too much, then how do YOU think we should discern false prophets?
Excellent post!
This is all starting to smell like bad performance art, like we’re supposedly being punk’d.
