Spanish masses with the guitar seem, to me, to work better than the faux-folk music hymns in English.

Anybody here familiar with Taizé music? http://www.taize.fr/en see also: http://www.taize.fr/en_article681.html.

I saw a sign for a Taizé meeting and had never heard of it before, so I looked it up. I then downloaded some of the songs from iTunes. I tend to play them when I’m writing; they are beautiful, but don’t interrupt my train of thought. They’re also just relaxing to listen to.

I was a pre-Vatican II Catholic. I don’t guess things can’t stay the same, but the Latin Mass was a beautiful thing.
