I receive it, my FRiend. God is more than able. You two are building my faith to believe it for myself. I can’t thank you enough. Maryxxx
I agree, if you know it IS the truth and not just a knee jerk response to something you don’t like or understand. We need to have some grace for each other here.
God uses the personality of the person prophesying. As you say, He doesn’t use a cookie cutter. LOL.
Not necessarily a sinner, Boogieman, but an unexpected and not a normal way of getting the point across.
For false prophet? I would not think of getting in the way of guys like you and Jedediah.
I could never uphold those lofty "standards."
THX THX
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
the REPLACEMENTARIAN et al cronic sweetness floods out again.
LOL.
“Not necessarily a sinner, Boogieman, but an unexpected and not a normal way of getting the point across.”
True, an ass speaking is an an unexpected and not the normal way of the Lord getting His point across. However, an ass speaking to you is also an immediately apparent miracle, like a burning bush speaking to you. A man claiming to speak for God, is not self-evidently miraculous though, since men can and do lie about such matters. That’s why I think one needs to apply the standards laid out plainly in Scripture to test whether the message is coming from God, or from a mere man, lest you be misled.
I would not think of getting in the way of guys like you and Jedediah.I could never uphold those lofty "standards."
I note that we still, still, after many pointed requests from multiple persons, haven't been given any reason to believe that any of their yammerers are true prophets of God.
As often happens, todays reading brought me to something apropos:
And as midday passed, they raved on until the time of the offering of the oblation, but there was no voice. No one answered; no one paid attention. 1 Kings 18
Yes, and according to John, it is actually possible to share in the wicked work of a false teacher:
As we obey the command not to be gullible, but "test the spirits" (1 Jn. 4:1) so that we won't be deceived, we will have to carefully evaluate teachers and ministries by the Scriptures, which are always final authority (2 Tim. 3:16, 17).
Good point, especially that Scripture, and not our feelings, are the final authority.
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” Prov. 3:5
“There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death..” Prov. 16:25
Awwwwwwwwwwwwww
bess him lil ol heart.
LOL.
Evidence sufficient . . . for the wise . . .
accrues . . . in God’s ways . . . and God’s timing . . . for God’s purposes.
The unwise and clueless didn’t see with Moses
Didn’t see with John the Baptist
Didn’t see with Jesus
. . .
what chance would we stand?
1. One of the Scriptural tests is . . . does the prophet attest and affirm that Jesus came in the flesh.
2. Another is the fruit of their ministry.
3. Another is their agreeing with Paul and the basic doctrines of the faith.
All the prophet and prophetic types hereon pass those tests better by far than the naysayers hereon do.
There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.. Prov. 16:25
That blade from The Sword
slices all directions.
Beware.
I don't believe that the spiritual fruit test is operative at all on the Internet. You never know who you are dealing with.
I also suspect that your naysayer paintbrush is too broad.
. . . asserted by someone
who seems to have an extremely
broad blackwashing paint brush.
Aspire to be worth responding to.
Who is without sin? Only One, which says that every prophet was a sinner.
MAT 12:38-39
seems to fit the REPLACEMENTARIAN et al
attitude and perspective precisely.
REPLACEMENTARIANS et al
are deluded that I give THAT much of a rip!
