I know several brothers who are. There is nothing in Freemasonry that says if you belong to XX religion, you can't join. The only religious prerequisite is you just must believe in one God (monotheistic). I believe the 'anti-mason' writings it commented on were more political, the old anti-mason party. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-Masonic_Party)
Huh, Learn something every day.
That’s a former girl friend. Look up Kloog, that would be me.
wow! All that investigation and he believes absolute nonsense!
I’d have a difficult time passing by your GF to continue a search. ;-)
So I should worship THIS guy?
In such a screed, there are lots of targets. Some are obvious. Compare the claims made in “fact” 18 about what the book of mormon says, versus what the book of mormon says (it’s online).
By that quick and easy comparison, the author of this smelly garbage is full of crap. 22 piles of crap, in fact.
This stuff is really tiresome. But then like Chris Matthews, the author probably gets a “thrill” up his leg.
That's what I was told over 30 years ago, "If you don't believe in God, you cannot become a Mason". Many think of Masonry as a religion, it is not, it is not a cult, it is more of a fraternal organization than anything. I've never seen anything that could remotely be called "worship" in a Masonic Lodge, even though the leader of a lodge is referred to as "worshipful master", nobody worships him, it's a title, he's just "Joe Regularguy" who lives down the street and next year there will be a new "master".
Parts of the L.D.S. rituals were stolen by Joseph Smith straight from the Masons.
The there's an awful lotta people going to hell, given that the Catholics, the Methodists, the Lutherans, the Presbyterians, the Baptists, the Pentacostals, the Jehovah's Witnesses, ad nauseum, ALL preach different salvations.
To say nothing of course of the Buddhists, the Hindus and the Moslems ! Or....shudder....the Mormons.
Who'd a thunk it ? Only ONE of those groups going to heaven, the rest to hell.
/horsecrap
Self-ping for later.
I have saved your writings for any future use I may have. It was an excellent piece. Thank you.
Um, not to burst your bubble, but the historic apostolic faiths, Catholic as well as protestants such as the Methodist, Baptist, Episcopalians and others of that linage believe in the exact same path to salvation.
Tonight I join my brothers and sisters of these very faiths as we break bread together and prepare to share the message with others in a few weeks.
Sorry that the divisions are not as wide as you would wish.
As far as the other faiths (your Buddhist, Hindus, Muslims, Mormons and others) well someone has to be right, otherwise what would be the point. Just because the touchy feely Oprah version of modern faith (one with may “Christian” members in it) says there are many paths, there is really only one.
Given the power of the truth I am glad to be on the right side of things.
So I should worship THIS guy?
No.
According to your source material, I should.

That statement is not true. The only group in that list preaching a different salvation is Jehovah's witnesses. They have a Jesus + membership in Jehovah Witnesses + works salvation. The rest just have Jesus only salvation and are acknowledged by each other as being Christian.

The Buddhists, Hindus, Moslems have rejected God's only plan of salvation. They are trying to earn their way to heaven and when they stand before a perfect Holy judge, they will be found wanting. Sadly, they will indeed go to Hell.
The Mormons identify themselves as Christian. But they have changed the nature of God and the nature of salvation. The change is so severe that most Christian denominations have issued declarations that Mormonism is outside the fold of Christianity. Only God can decide if their distorted faith in Jesus is acceptable. But scripture clearly says that Jesus is the only way. And scripture warns against those preaching a different Jesus.

If I execute them they can't be saved. And that wouldn't fit the command to love my neighbor, would it?
God doesn't need me to be executioner. He decides when to give up on people, not me. What He asks of me is to love others, warn the wicked and to tell people about the good news of Jesus Christ.
