1) Sean Cardinal O'Malley "confronting" (as he explained on his blog) President Obama about abortion funding and the proposed universal health care bill. The "confrontation" was NOT reminiscent of Leo the Great meeting Attila the Hun.
2) Theodore Cardinal McCarrick disingenuously claiming to read a "fatherly reply" from the Pope to Ted Kennedy's famous letter, a reply which, in fact, was NOT from the Pope but from some underling in the Secretariat of State.
Meanwhile, from Bishop Terry Steib, SVD of the Diocese of Memphis, TN, we get this nonsense:
"Some racism still exists, he said, and cited the recent furor in Catholic circles over the honorary degree awarded by Notre Dame University to Obama, who supports abortion on demand. Especially in light of the scandalous fact that the majority of Catholics voted for Barack Obama.

This is yet another reason I avoid donating to any organization which just donates to another organization. How much of those donations are wasted on overhead and not used to help anyone in need?
Don’t donate to the CCHD. Donate to a charity whose work you know and whose leadership you trust. They aren’t that hard to find.
