Reading the tea-leaves here, I can see exactly what’s going to happen. That Christian Lawyer is going to convince enough people that the girl will be completely safe, she’s going to be forced to return, and she’s going to die.

Then all the people who supported her return — including this lawyer — are going to somehow blame the people who tried to keep her from being returned for politicizing the case, stirring up passions, etc., etc., etc...

They will point their fingers everywhere but at themselves.

And that poor girl will still be dead.

We had better pray to God that an "underground railroad" is being prepared for her for the next ten months. In my opinion this is the same as runaway slaves prior to the Civil War. If they are found out, they were returned to their "owners" and beaten or worse as an example to others.

Of course, if this drags on until it is less than six-months until her 18th birthday, she would have a better case at emancipation.
