Two terms are used in this study are "Cosmic One" and "Cosmic Two". "Cosmic One" refers to the state of "Grieving the Holy Spirit", which occurs when are in fellowship and then slip out of fellowship by sinning.
"Cosmic Two" refers to the state of "Quenching the Holy Spirit", which is discernible from "Grieving the Holy Spirit".
Prolonged residence in the mental state of "cosmic one" will tend to further degenerate into "cosmic two". Where as cosmic one separates us from fellowship with God, where we basically are thinking and behaving independent of faith through Christ, there are those who further degenerate into attacking God the Holy Spirit and God's Plan as a specific adversarial enemy.
These terms are used because in the Greek, COSMOS, an orderly or worldly system, is the opposite of CHAOS, or disorder and randomness and lack of order.
Worldly systems may be formed through faith in Christ, (such as John 3:16) or independent of Christ, which is associated with the sin of 'worldliness', systems of good and order independent of faith in Christ. Cosmic One describes the first stages of sinful worldliness, which like all sin begins in our thinking.
This post is provided in response to other threads discussing depression amongst believers.
FWIW, last month there was a lot of spiritual warfare going down. Study this, while in fellowship with God through faith in Christ after turning back to face Him and confessing all known and unknown sins, and let Him handle the rest.

Yet where is this COSMOS in the article? I’d have expected an even brief discussion of the universe.
Oh, well....
