Shake it from your feet. There are some forces who wish to keep things the way they are... and bondage to the Mosaid law is their requirement! The Roman Catholics prefer bondage to freedom, and want to keep others in their misery. So, be girded...
Ephesians 6: 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
Thanks, WVK. I know. And it saddens me because there is such freedom in Christ and in having a personal relationship with Him. Love, M
What a cowardly pack of calumny.
You are known by your fruits, yak.
WVK;
It is considered appropriate protocol to ping those whom you would denigrate on FR.
***Mary, Pete has nothing to offer but his feeble attempts at humor.***
The screen name is Petronski, not Pete.
***markbs is stuck in the law, and can’t see his way out. ***
Firstly, my name is capitalized, and secondly, the sophomoric toilet humour of appending ‘bs’ to my name is not usual FR behaviour. I have done you the dignity of capitalizing your name and I have never appended toilet acronyms to your screen name.
Secondly, I have posted all appropriate Scripture in order to debate your points; any law invoked is from the words of Jesus, not a bishop.
Proverbs 6:
16
4 There are six things the LORD hates, yes, seven are an abomination to him;
17
Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood;
18
A heart that plots wicked schemes, feet that run swiftly to evil,
19
The false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers.

The ‘freedom’ of the Reformation is guided by the evil one; the repudiation of Matthew, for the most part, is very telling on Reformed and allied theologies.
Galations 1:

5 6 I am amazed that you are so quickly forsaking the one who called you by (the) grace (of Christ) for a different gospel

(not that there is another). But there are some who are disturbing you and wish to pervert the gospel of Christ.
There is another stark and frightening gospel that is perverted from the Gospel of the Apostles and the early Church and that is the freedom of interpretation gospel of the Reformation and its spawn. Your personal interpretation is in error.
