I'm not sure why, but it sounds as if this thread needs a Megan Fox pic.

"After quoting this passage, Fr. Vladislav Sveshnikov expressed the truly apocalyptic fear: We have to admit that contemporary science is preparing the ground for the coming of the Antichrist. How? By the manipulation of genes in order to produce the superman or man-god of Nietzsches imagination, who will be at the same time the devil-man or Antichrist of Christian patristic teaching." Humans have previously seen, and maybe now are seeing again, that no such genetic manipulation is needed for human demi-gods to hold immense manipulative sway over masses of people.

Steve Quayle has written a lot on this topic. He and Thomas Horn have had several discussions. Interesting point, in a mysterious clause, Genesis, says the Nephilim (Fallen ones) were in the land in those days,
and also afterward. Huh? How can that be if all life was destroyed that was not on the ark?
The implication is that these are truly the offspring of spirit beings. Think about it, the King of Bashan (Og - the dude with the 18 foot bed), the Amalekites in the Land of Canaan, Goliath and his 4 brothers? The Repharim? These are all references to other offspring of demonic beings after the flood.
Steven Quayle's very interesting site is

Chuck Missler also has a great discussion of this. A lecture can be found on youtube
here.
By the way, I think this is a plan by satan to claim the eventual Rapture is not a miracle of God - rather a provocation by aliens.

Sounds like Hal Lindsey cross-pollinated with Vladimir Moss and birthed a nightmarish tale.

Interesting.
Pinging another Orthodox FReeper to see if this is a common idea in the Eastern Orthodox church.
The first time I heard of it was when I visited Roswell, NM a few years ago (I was working two hours north of there).
