Those are just a sampling of the testimonies (aren't you big into testimonies?) of those women of that era. Those are quote from your prophets DOCUMENTED in mormon writings. The only thing ridiculous is your wilful turning of the eye away from true mormon history.
The pioneer women of my Church were persecuted every bit as severely as the men of my Church. And to this day we have to put up with it, which we do, as it is proof that our Church is true. Persecution comes with the territory. Keep it up if you must.
Thought you were just saying were did not have feelings of superiority. YOUR problem is that the persecution of the pioneer women were by mormon men - NOT outsiders Saundra - go back an read who was making those statements. It wasn't us gentiles forcing women into polygamy, but it was us gentiles who pushed to end that practice.
Someone on this thread said LDS women were being mistreated TODAY which is so ridiculous I cannot even begin to respond.
Furthermore, LDS women have never been mistreated by “Mormon men.” We are held in the highest esteem as daughters of our Heavenly Father.
