Exactly. If Rome really hated abortion it would excommunicate Pelosi, Biden, etc. But it doesn't. It chooses to remain silent on that score while loudly trashing capitalism and a free society founded on the Protestant work ethic and Christian charity.

I sincerely hope you're just trash-talking here, Doc.

If I thought for a moment that you truly believed the Catholic Church has no problem with abortion, I'd be concerned.

Reasonable people know the Church's position. You're doing yourself no favors here.

How many protestants are told directly by their church leaders and teachers that abortifacients like the pill and the IUD are okay?

No one is counting all of those abortions, they cannot be counted.

Yet some protestants come here (to lecture) about abortion the Church founded by Christ, which unequivocally condemns abortifacients.

If cognitive dissonance were painful, none of this would be happening.

It's silly and imho, grossly disingenuous to

PRETEND so brazenly that the Vatican/Roman Catholic Church

has ONE position on abortion.

Certainly there's the

Published, encyclical rich, authoritative sounding written pontifications on abortion. They sound Biblical and impressive.

Then we have the rubber meets the road REALITY of HOW the Roman Catholic/Vatican structure responds to famous powerful people who push abortion more and more vigorously into more and more lives world-wide.

So, on the APPLIED, REAL, RUBBER-MEETS-THE-ROAD-REALITY level, The Vatican is a phoney wuss on abortion.

Perhaps you can tell me . . . just how many excommunications have there been in the last 100 years of ANY politician (or other famous, powerful persons, for that matter)????

But let's be a bit less stern about it . . . How many millions of dollars has the Vatican spent in focused campaigning AGAINST PURPORTED ROMAN CATHOLIC politicos who have vigorously supported abortion? I'd wager, precious little. Oh, there've been some nice speaches by some earnest Bishops and priests here and there. I don't recall many Cardinals getting their mouths dirty speaking out against such politicos in any focused or even very evident way.

So, actually, the average person in the street would be well within reasonable bounds of good reality testing to think that the Vatican/Roman Catholic Church wasn't against abortion at all.

Because where and when it counts, it hasn't been.

All that noise is just that . . . meaningless toothless noise--a farce.

Yet the good Pope wants to put TEETH into A TYRANNICAL GLOBAL GOVERNMENT. Cute. Real cute.

Such duplicity is sooooooooooo impressive.

And words are soooooooooooooooo plentiful, so grandiose and so worthless out of the Vatican . . . as we've even seen defended so vigorously hereon--i.e. defending the meaninglessness of a key paragraph in a recent encyclical.

FUNCTIONALLY, The Vatican clearly has a position on abortion. It's only slightly complex. It's
.
1. TALK OUT OF ONE SIDE OF THE VATICAN PRESS OFFICE ON THE ONE HAND.
.
2. AND HOB-NOB, FLATTER, IGNORE, CARRY ON BUSINESS AS USUAL WITH THE GLOBALIST POLITICIANS PUSHING ABORTION DOWN THE WORLD'S THROAT out of the DOING side of the Vatican.
