It's this strange mixture of slick, practical modernity and antediluvian mystique that seems to characterise the Coptic Church in Australia.

I guess that is either the mark of Protestantism or Secularism (or both since one leads to the other eventually) that the original eastern Apostolic churches are seen as some sort of quaint throw back to primitive times ("antediluvian" means pre Noah's flood).

I guess if a church does not have arena seating and a movie theater style projector these days with a rock concert stage it is seen as primitive.

Well the Lord did take to preaching on hills and streets etc. to the masses.

His approach was drastically different from what was going on at the time...
