Technically, every saint who appears on the Last Day is “sinless,” having been washed in the blood of the Lamb. We think that Mary is the first of these Elect. She is as we hope to be. It is no accident that the Marian apparitions have an apocalyptic tone. These are signs that the Day is at hand.
