But we do know God’s Will when it comes to healing. What did Jesus do? He healed everyone that He encountered. No where did He say - this one isn’t My Father’s will to heal.
God bless you and your grandson. Link below is to a national website with stories about Downs folks. Some are licensed to drive and some manage their own businesses, attend college, and lead near normal lives.

This is exactly why you birthers are called "cranks". What's really good is I'd bet you've no clue as to why. Read your post again, and again and again if necessary, until it comes to you.
Like I said my grandson is just amazingly bright and I have so much confidence and hope for his future, I am sure this will help.
You just keep praying and get rid of your name calling.
I'm not saying not to pray for Trig Palin. I just always add Christ's disclaimer, "Nevertheless, not as I will but as Thou wilt."
No, he doesn’t. God teaches us that due to the imperfect world we live in suffering is a part of life. No suffering, no life. I have prayed myself for healing, but God has other plans in store. I have had others ask to pray, they were worried about offending me, and I told them, if it is God’s will it will happen. If not, it will not. Either way I am content.
I can’t say I have always felt that way though, but people like yourself have helped open my eyes.
I am the father of a 26 year old man with Down Syndrome. We all need prayers, but I must tell you that he is the greatest blessing our family and faith and social community could ever have imagined. Trig Palin will be the same blessing for his family and community.
Sometimes we worry about our older son, but we have no doubt at all that our youngest is headed for heaven and a very big mansion.
“1 As he passed by he saw a man blind from birth.
2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
3 Jesus answered, “Neither he nor his parents sinned; it is so that the works of God might be made visible through him.”
pray that you come to see the Face of Jesus in Trig’s Face and in the faces of all that society sees as poor. That’s real healing.
I have a precious niece who is in her 50s and is in good health. This woman is an absolute delight and everyone loves her. I have a real soft spot for Downs people.
Well yes! Pray for every person who is not healed. But God sometimes has other purposes.
For example... John 9:1-3
1. As He passed by, He saw a man blind from birth.
2. And His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he would be born blind?”
3. Jesus answered, “It was neither that this man sinned, nor his parents; but it was so that the works of God might be displayed in him.
As you can see here, the man was blind from birth, but stayed blind so God could heal him and be glorified at the healing, on this particular day. All for God’s glory!!!
And....welcome to FR!
People with DS are people. They are not angels. They are not "sent here by God to teach us something". They are also not vegetables or animals. Many are more intelligent than some people with nothing wrong with them. It's also not a blessing or a curse. It's just part of who they are.
Sure, but be aware that the answer will be “no.”
Welcome To FreeRepublic Shirlee.
Pray that Trig and those of us with challenges will be able to become the teachers for all whom we meet.:)=^..^=
IF that’s true, then it’s murder.
And if all goes well with us all of the time, why is there a need or a longing for God? He knows best. I can rest in that. Love, M
Legal murder!
We are becoming a nation with no shame and no conscience.
