It is nearly impossible to go anywhere in the United States of America today and not sense the oppressive sexual culture in which we live. It is a subliminal, hypnotic barrage of immoral images, lewd language and erotic enticements that consciously and subconsciously affects our entire nation. It has gone so far that we have become a base and morally callous people. Where can anyone go today without being continuously bombarded by the 24/ 7 decadent drumbeat of this licentious orchestra? We have indeed become a Red Light District nation!
This hypnotic drum beat comes from all different sources of media: TV, radio, the internet, billboards, advertising, the music industry, the fashion world, Hollywood, the sports world, newspapers, magazines, tabloids, classrooms, college campuses, government,
.and on and on. Every facet of life has been affected. Every nook and cranny of American culture has been permeated and contaminated with this sickening vice. Teaching and preaching the moral values and virtues that are vital to preserve a healthy society brings only hate and slander from the vast secular faction here in the United States.

I believe most Americans agree with me. **********************
I believe that is one of the main points of the article. Most Americans have become jaded, and no longer see what has happened to our society and culture.

I read it differently. He wants to dictate public morals based on his religion the same as Islam does.
I do not wish to be governed by others religions. Our constitution and our forfathers gave us freedom of religion and also if we chose the freedom from religion. A christian zealot trying to rule by their perception that they have that right from God is exactly the same and a radical muslim with a AK47 in their hands.

Excuse me!!! I'm a disabled vet. A medically retired from battle injuries disabled vet. I have given my blood and a part of my body for the freedoms that we all enjoy. My family hasn't missed a war on behalf of this country in the last hundred years.
Being so high and mighty you won't mind answering the obvious question.
What the heck have you done to earn out freedoms??? Did you give 15 years of your life and more than a dozen surgeries. You are a total ignorant fool for making those statements.
You sir, are a joke. Actually your accusations amount to bold faced lies and total disrespect for all of those who have fought and died so you can run your mouth.
You seem to think I have no faith just because I don't believe as you do. I've heard many muslims make the same claim. That is the company you put yourself into. This clearly points out your arrogance. Your words clearly demonstrate that you think you have the right to impose your beliefs on others and you are the only one with “the right” answer.
The author of this thread is as good as obamass is at running down the nation I fought for. If you do not like our nation then leave.

“A perspective on this can be found in the work of the aforementioned Atheist, Ayn Rand, who wrote: In any compromise between good and evil, it is only evil that can profit.
Let me remind you that more evil has been done on this earth in the name of religion, and a good part of the Christian religion, than for any other cause.
This is provable documented history.

A braggart too. Sorry charlie, I’m not offering up and sympathy to you. You have have gone through a lot of hell, but that line is very long, the shorter line is those who’ve learned from it.

I'm not a member of moveon.org, or any other liberal website. You form of religion does not own the conservative movement and these comments just display your arrogant belief that you do.
Post #45 is also relevant to you. I would be interested in your answer to the question contained in that post.

Or those how have the backbone to stand up and fight. That is very lacking at times. It's easy to run your mouth. This morning I had more family get on the big bird and head east to the big sandbox.
I don't want your sympathy. I do well and have a great life because I have earned it, all by myself.
You can take your condescending attitude and shove it.

You seem to believe that being a wounded vet makes you an object of worship and veneration. Not by him, and not by me. He was sick of them and I of your damn attitude.
Every man does his duty, and some earn some merit by it. But that merit is never won by how much blood is spilled, or wounds suffered, or heroic acts of courage.
It is a matter of what then, what do you do with that, everyday, day after day.

The following is the conclusion of the blog article:
"The only solution to the depraved and ever-growing lawlessness of the world we are living in today is found in the Person of Jesus Christ. He is the ONLY ONE who can rescue humanity from the end result of sin and lawlessness. May you place your trust and hope in Him today. You will never be the same!"
This decidedly personal appeal follows his own interpretation of modern history and the state of American culture, as seen through the prism of Biblical Literalism.
Nowhere in the article could I find any reference to proposed legislation, limitation of personal freedoms or the prosecution/persecution of those who do not share his beliefs. Quite the contrary, the blog reads like someone who wants to reform society by changing its will, not its laws.
While I do not share the particular perspective of the writer (My own analysis of scripture would take far too long to go into here!) I respect that the Literalist point of view is quite appropriate for some, and to those who truly grasp its ultimate mandate - to LOVE - one another, it is indeed the proper tool for leading a devout and Christian life.
I suspect (tell me if I'm wrong) that you are perhaps put off by the anthropomorphization of Good and Evil in the writer's blog. If anything, I sense in the tone of the writer a genuine concern for his fellow Americans, and the wish that they would not be lost in the Holocaust he sees coming. I could not find the part where he says he wants to rule - other than his call for you to let Christ rule in your heart. As for your comparison of the Evangelical to the Jihadi, I can only point out that Christ said Love your enemy - Mohammed said kill him and bugger his children. If you can't see the difference in these two points of view, then we have nothing to discuss.
I sincerely wish you the best. I know nothing of your beliefs, but if you wish an open and sincere dialogue, you are free to FReepmail me. Just do us both a favor and try to dump some of that pent-up anger before you respond in public or private.
(Whether you choose to accept it or not, there is a peace that passes all understanding.....)

People remind me of that all the time. I remind them that using the name of Jesus Christ as a swear word does not cheapen Him, it cheapens them.

Your very right to comment in here was secured by the blood that was spilled and the wounds that were and are suffered and the heroic acts of courage.
All of these things have been done by those who had the courage to stand up and fight for all of our freedoms. These freedoms have been earned with the blood of us vets. We earned them even for those who didn't have the gonads to do it for themselves. Every vet who reads this caught your little brag comment. Every vet who reads this is very proud of their service. When they speak of their commitment and sacrifice they are not bragging. They are proud of acconplisning something that is significant to them. Freedom. You don't have a clue. People I know got shot at today by people who were intent on their death. Long time friends are still in the battle. Again, you have no clue.

Don’t confuse Liberty with licentiousness. Liberty can’t survive without a moral code, and a strong morality conveyed from one generation to the next. That is the Liberty the Founders fought for, and the ideal of what any American fights for in his or her lifetime in a war zone, or in a peace zone.
I have a clue — I see the once great nation slipping into a decay that is like quick-lime, it eats away at families so fast.

Liberty? This is about what the basis of that Liberty is.
Liberty is the opportunity for spiritual growth. It means we allow men and women to make their own decisions. It doesn’t mean we fund sex fairs, or that we tolerate open public immodesty. People can be as immodest as they want in private.
But we can’t grow as a society if we oversexualize and so abuse our children.

Stand up and fight? You keep repeating that because you haven’t put your own wounds away. And you haven’t done that because you want the world to worship and respect you for them. Like I said, sorry. This door ain’t open to bums, even wounded bums.

This is getting better, now I'm a bum. In your shoes I would be totally humiliated knowing that a bunch of bums fought and died for my freedom's why I stood by and said fancy words. Glad you got to that little truth.
Let me give you a brief peak into the life of a disabled bum who can't get past it.
I raised two daughters after their mother died. They are both college educated and very happy married mothers. Down the road a ways I met and married my second wife and put her through college to be a teacher. She worked hard and now teaches special needs youth. We have a son who at 14 has started on two state champ soccer teams, has a 4.0 GPA since kindergarten, and just picked up a boat load of awards at 8th grade graduation. My latest venture was building a small bio tech production lab. We manufacture FCS which is used for all cancer research. One of my daughters works for me and my son helps out as he can. Both are great workers and we have a lot of fun working with all that blood. His reward for his hard work is that we are teaching him how to fly. The new Garmin Glass Dashboard in my 337 is like flying a big video game. He will be flying on his own ticket the day he turns 16. Not bad for a bum who had no college education when he managed to get all shot up. I have nothing to prove to anyone. My life is proof enough of what I am and what I have done. In the military or out in the civilian world life is worth living every day. Then there are those who talk about it.
