Gosh, I would like to know which bishops voted against this more liturgical form of things. I’m sure Pope Benedict will find out and they will be on his short list for a “talking to.”
Based on the numbers, my guess is that there was a push to register a protest vote by voting down the Masses for Various Needs and Intentions, but the push only just failed.
