I look at “Whispers” frequently myself. The blog does get good info, although it is sometimes wrong.
However, the author, Rocco, is very much a left-winger, and his blog definitely pushes the left-wing “Spirit of Vatican II” agenda within the Church. He can be very sneering and snotty towards Traditional/Conservative Catholicism, and as such I have found him to be very bigotted and offensive on several occasions over the past few years. He also writes for a left-leaning Catholic magazine in the UK called “The Tablet”, among other things.
So, I usually skim his blog, try to skip over the snarky anti-Conservative comments, and try to pick up just the “good” info.
