Sola Scriptura must, by its terms, be proven by Scripture only.

And, so, by that very rule, Scripture would have to dictate the books included. Hmmm. I don't remember reading that list anywhere - not even in freshman Scripture class when we memorized all 73 books in order. AND had to spell them correctly. New American, though. Junior and senior years we used the Jerusalem.
If memory serves, the Council of Carthage closed the Canon after discernment. Thank you Sts. Augustine and Jerome.

Turns out the Cardinal heard this screaming, bawling and crying and ran down the stairs to come to the aid of the pope...
He got there and the pope had a book open and the tears were running down his face and the cardinal ask 'what is it'???
