Actually, I was referring to the appearance of Jesus to Saul in Acts 9. :-)
And I was refering to the devil that King Saul wanted to see 1 Samuel 28...
However the REAL Samuel appeared in that case...
The Saul of the New Testament never went looking for a sign or a spirit...
The Jesus of the Bible spoke to him...
Stopped him in his tracks...
When Jesus wants to talk to us, He doesnt have to wait for an invitation...
As for Joey...
Joey Smith just made up that story, saying it had happened years before...
He got milage out of it but either he embellished it each time he told it...
Or he forgot some of the vital points and had to tell it on the fly...
Ya notice that Paul only needed to be told once and he changed his ways...
According to Joey, he went right on sinnig...in fact went straight back to his sheep stealing ways AFTER supposedly Jesus had spoken to him...
And AFTER he is suppose to have sought the Lord...
Meeting Jesus is a life changing expertience...
But not for our boy, Joe...
He went right on with his conman, theiving ways for the rest of his life, mofre than 20 years after that first so called “vision” thaty he claims he had...
His line may have impress the girls but Jesus was never impressed by the charlatan Joey Smith...
God destroyed Joey Smith in the end...
