My take on this is that it’s complete malarkey, as is the “rapture” doctrine and Dispensationalism in general.

When Jesus Christ returns, it will be no secret. The time-space universe of flesh and atoms that clothes us will dissolve away like mist in sunlight and for the first time we will see Reality as it is. On that day every human being that has ever lived will be revealed for what he or she really is, and we will know that we are naked in the sight of God and our fellow man. There will be no place to hide from the all-pervasive Glory of Him that is Existence itself. Only those who have been reborn through the Most Precious Blood of Christ by their own free choice will withstand that all-consuming fire; the rest will char to ashes and be swept away to exist for eternity in the Hell of their own pride.

Instead of wondering if this is The End, let’s concern ourselves with being ready for The End whenever it comes. After all, the end can come for any of us at any time. It’s called death. THAT is the “end time” that we should be worried about, not some pie-in-the-sky Left-Behind bullshit.

I believe most (True) Christians are *ready* the Laodicean Church is alive and well and the Scoffers and GOD deniers are plentiful and sprouting up all over.
