There are 7 churches in Revelation, and as many reasons why people go to any given church as there are people in church. I love all the churches—the foundation of our love for freedom. I really miss them when I go to the cities, with all those buildings for worshipping man and money. My favorite place to worship is alone on a mountain top watching the sunset (and wondering if I’ll get down in time).

Somehow, I don't even think "Methodist" when I think of any of those Revelation churches. When I think of a church that could house a Hillary Clinton, my mind runs more to Molech, or Astarte, or Baal.

(If you preach "too big to let fail," you're also preaching "too small to let succeed.")

My favorite place to worship is alone on a mountain top watching the sunset (and wondering if Ill get down in time). Yet the crowds that followed Jesus were numbered in the mul;tiple-thousands. Those converted on Pentecost were numbered in the thousands.
Neither Jesus or Peter scattered them to indulge in a "lonely" worship.
