The Jewish feast is also known as the feast of first fruits. Think about that in context of the birth of the church.

The first harvest in the year is the barley harvest. Think about the book of Ruth, where Boaz takes a gentile bride...

Pentecost is the mandatory feast of YHvH :

It was not a surprise for the followers of the Mashiach known as Yah'shua.

They would have stayed up all night studying the Holy Word of G-d i.e.the Torah.

They were required to be in Jerusalem to celebrate Shavuot,
which is a mandatory feast of YHvH to be celebrated in Jerusalem.

Shavuot is seven weeks and one day hence fifty days
following the L-rd's Feast of First Fruits.

The Feast of First Fruits is when Y'shua rose from the dead
as an offering to YHvH as the First Fruits of of the creation.
The YHvH's Feast of First Fruits is the day following the shabbat
following Passover, hence the first day of the week.

The first day beginning at sundown after Shabbat.

Leviticus 23:15 'You shall also count for yourselves from the day after the sabbath,
from the day when you brought in the sheaf of the wave offering;
there shall be seven complete sabbaths.

16 'You shall count fifty days to the day after the seventh sabbath;
then you shall present a new grain offering to the LORD.
Shavuot is the end of the counting of the Omer (First Fruits)

Shavuot also celebrates the giving of the Torah to Moses by YHvH
at Mount Sinai and they became a people consecrated to YHvH.

The Book of Ruth is read by all during this feast.
The story of Ruth is about a gentile woman who
gives up her pagan gods to follow YHvH then becomes
the bride of the kinsman-redeemer and returns
the landless widow to the land( Israel) which had been her birthright.

Ruth (gentile bride) and Boaz (Kinsman-Redeemer) are ancestors
of Yah'shua from Beit-Lechem.(The house of Bread).
