Richard Holloway is a Bishop of the Scottish Episcopal Church. There seems to be on obvious problem -- he doesn't believe in God. In the Scottish Episcopal Church, that must not be a problem.

More prospective, disillusioned converts to either Catholicism or Islam.
More to the point, why would he want to continue? Isn’t he living a lie?
I imagine there are a lot of ministers like him who don’t believe but need the retirement.
This one's a keeper.
Exactly. And why would any of his congregants want to attend church? If this “priest” doesn’t believe Jesus rose from the dead on Resurrection Sunday, then why would anyone want to get out of bed on Sunday to attend this “church.”

apostates and wolves in sheeps clothing....sign of the times.
He believes in a paycheck, though.
Really. Kick him the hell out.
My words were chosen purposefully.
We’ve tolerated enough of this constant attack and it’s time to draw the line and push back.
That’s very true.
In studying the progress of socialism/communism over the past century, I stumbled across an analysis of how the same forces that indoctrinated students at colleges and universities into Marxism infiltrated the theology departments.
That is why there is so much Socialism being preached from the pulpit.
This one's a keeper.
I second the motion.
It’s kind of like a Burger King manager who openly supports McDonalds.....makes you wanna do a double-take.
You equate Catholicism to Islam?
Well, there’s Rembert Weakland, just now publishing a book in which he reveals multiple homosexual affairs while Archbishop of Milwaukee, in addition to his already-known affair with Paul Marcoux, and his embezzlement of $450,000 from the Archdiocese to use as hush money for Marcoux.
The fact that Weakland remained Archbishop of Milwaukee throughout John Paul II’s pontificate is a main reason I refuse to call JPII “John Paul the Great.” A truly great Pope would have removed Weakland and dozens of other American bishops.
There’s Archbishop Donald Wuerl, of Washington, who refuses to obey Canon 915, thereby teaching loud and clear that support for abortion is not sinful. And each time the issue heats up, he offers ever-more preposterous excuses for his refusal to obey.
The phenomenon of unbelievers’ clinging to leadership roles is universal, and timeless.
Yes, in the sense that each religion takes their faith seriously and refuses to be stampeded by the forces of post-modern political correctness.
You may parse the ‘sense’ but I have not witnessed a Catholic beheading an unbeliever in the last 20 years.
No comparison and quite an insult.
For that matter, I haven’t seen any Catholics suicide bombing people, buildings, airports ....
The dying mainline Protestant religions adopt every trendy, half-baked fad. The Catholic Church and the Islamic faith hold fast to their long-held principles.
I said not one word about what those principles are in each case. I agree that those of the Holy Mother Church are Godly and correct, and those of Islam are of the Devil.
I am Catholic and am stating a matter of plain fact. This is not open to serious argument.
Sorry ... this IS open to “serious argument”... Comparing today’s Catholic to Islam today is ridiculous. Catholics are not funding JIHAD against Islam and working their will through terrorist tactics such as kidnappings, suicide bombings etc....
Comparing adherence to beliefs is one thing, comparing despicable actions is another.
Catholics believe yet do not KILL others who do not believe the same.
Islam declares JIHAD against those who do not believe as they do and against those who they ‘perceive’ as denigrating Islam.
