(CBS/AP) Protests continued through the night at the United States' foremost Roman Catholic university, as demonstrators object to the school's decision to invite President Obama to give the commencement address this afternoon, given his stands on abortion and embryonic stem-cell research.
Anti-abortion activists promise to disrupt the president's appearance on Sunday at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind., where he also will receive an honorary degree.
Mr. Obama is scheduled to speak at 2:00 p.m. ET.
South Bend police expect thousands of demonstrators opposed to abortion rights on Sunday, reports CBS affiliate WSBT.
But some anti-abortion right activists are concerned the protesters will go too far and wind up hurting their cause.
WSBT correspondent Kirk Mason reports that there are three semi-trucks traveling around town displaying large images of aborted fetuses, as well as of an African-American man who appears to have been beaten.
The trucks are paid for by the Center for Bio-Ethical Reform, a Calif.-based group. A spokesman told WSBT that the pictures are designed to point out the inconsistencies of President Obama, that the country has overcome the evil of slavery but not abortion.
The organization's head, Gregg Cunningham, posted on his Web site part of his response to a parent's complaint who objected to the group "ruining" her son's law school graduation. Cunningham wrote that "if Mr. Obama is such a noble person and abortion is such a trivial matter, why would you be so troubled that we are showing the Class of 2009 the babies Mr. Obama is killing?"

Fox News reported there will be at least 20 protesters at the commencement exercises who plan to disrupt the event.
Nothing, absolutely nothing, compared to the degree to which Notre Dame has hurt it's cause.
To call legal access to abortion a right is a corruption of both the language and the founding concepts of this country. Rights are not bestowed by governments or poorly crafted supreme court decisions, they are bestowed by God. To suggest that God facilitates the heinous practice of fetuscide is taking God's name in vain.
Great catch on the use of the word “rights”.
The underlying principle at the heart of America's constitutional protections, according to Thomas Jefferson, is declared in these words:
"The God who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same time: the hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them."
Life and liberty, therefore, once "endowed" by the "Creator," are inseparable and "unalienable." Thus, the first claim asserted by America's Founders was to an inherent, "Creator-endowed," unalienable and inseparable right to life and liberty which is prior to the right of any other being's determination (including the woman whose body houses the developing child).
If rights came to us by "grants" from individuals or collections of individuals (judges, legislators, or the executive branch), then the consequence of that idea would be that those rights would be "alienable"--an idea in opposition to the Declaration and the Constitution's goal of securing the "Blessings of Liberty."
Hopefully, more and more Americans will come to realize that "ideas have consequences." In the society, once the concept is accepted that life and liberty are not inherent and derived from the Creator, but by permission (grant) of individuals or government, then no person's life and liberty is secure at any point.
The question being highlighted by today's events at Notre Dame is crucial to the preservation of liberty for all citizens--not just those in the womb.
Does CBS refer to people in favor of gun control as opponents of gun rights?
Fox just interviewed a couple of graduates, the geek on the right was holding the top of his mortarboard to the camera, it said, “Viva Obama!” on it. Quite a choice there, considering that aborted babies don’t get to enjoy “viva” (’Long Live Life’)
When I read the words “abortion rights” my blood pressure went up about 100 points.
I refuse to use the word abortion in public. It is time to take back our language and call it what it is, ‘killing babies’.
If you are pro-choice, you support the killing of little innocent defenseless babies.
I am tired of these euphemisms that help the left sanitize the horrible act of killing GOD’s children.

Any numbers yet?
And hold your $$$$
14 mil has already been lost at Nore Dame because of Fr. Jenkins, Fr. Tyson’s and the Board of Trustee disobedience to the Pope and Catholic Bishops!
